So form an orderly queue please, lovely local men looking for fabulous non-drama queen...

Yes. Intend to be non drama queen. Sick of all that. Want a nice quiet life. Plus I think if you meet the right one there is no drama because there is no need.

A friened who met her Bf through internet dating was really happy for 2 years but always felt he wasnt being entirely open. A couple of months back the husband of the woman her bf had been having a 7 year  'thing' with turned up at her house at 6 in the morning :(

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I reckon it takes a couple of years to really get to know a person & how they behave in real life. There's also a big difference in someone having little quirks & having to live with those quirks on a daily basis

I think if it's right (not that I would know) it is clear pretty quickly. Don't want to have to wait a couple of years. icon9.gif Agree about the quirks though. Cute becomes annoying very quickly.

I agree that if it's right then it should be clear. I however, have a bad habit of latching on to similarities & ignoring the blatantly obvious problems.

I reckon this is where the excellent "NO FREAKING DRAMA" comes in. I dont like bickering. I dont want hassle or mind games or playing hard to get, what's the point  Call when you say you will, leaving it an hour or so is not going to keep me on my toes, it's going to !!!! me off  I like reliable, & no it's not the same as boring & predictable.

So with you on the No Freakin Drama thing. Can we have that as a subtitle or something? Funny thing is though, I have never been into drama and I think it almost confuses men to find that. I don't do mind games (life and people are complicated enough already), nagging (if I'm that bothered I'll sort it myself one way or another), or third chances (once even I have run out of excuses for someone, they really are screwed). I've never understood why I should treat a boyfriend worse that my friends - I mean, if it's bad behaviour to a mate, why would I do it to someone else I care about? And yet a couple of times all this seems to get them rattled and they run off with a shallow drama queen. *Sigh.*

Anyway work trip went fine, there was no mention of work guy after all and I think maybe I was reading too much into it. Besides which I think I've gone off him :rotfl:. Oh well. Maybe it was the epilator visualisation :D:p. So form an orderly queue please, lovely local men looking for fabulous non-drama queen...

Hope everybody's having a good weekend. :grouphug:

    Rosa xx

With you on every single word with games, nagging and third chances. Glad the work thing went ok, and that you weren't forced to hibernate with a book (unless you wanted to).

There are many many men out there but I'm wary as so many apparently normal guys that I know of turn out to be completely weird. The last 2 I was inolved with were freaks  & I now question my ability to read a persons real character. A friened who met her Bf through internet dating was really happy for 2 years but always felt he wasnt being entirely open. A couple of months back the husband of the woman her bf had been having a 7 year  'thing' with turned up at her house at 6 in the morning :(

 I suppose a 6am knocking on the door is never good (even Postie waits until 7am), but that's just plain scary. As for reading someone's real character, I'm not so sure that those toxic tattoos are on view for some time. We need a care label that says "Warning: will whine after protracted use, drama queenliness a possibility if thwarted, !!!!lessness sets in after two years, will prove harder to remove than a sticky label".

    Edit: f e c k l e s s n e s s failed the swear filter...

    Anyone still up?

Just had the weirdest / craziest / scariest thing just happen to me.

I got woken up by people talking outside my window.

To cut a long story short, I called the Police and they came out and confirmed the people were men they were searching for in connection with a crime.

This has really freaked me out!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Oh makeup,

hope you're ok sweetie, that is really scary & I hope they were 'removed' from your area.

    On another note :

After logging off last night I tried out a search on the dating site .... It cam back with " sorry, nothing matched your search criteria, perhaps you're being too specific" :rotfl:

Still got 29 on that list sarah

doing more washing here & then heading up to the allotment where I shall console myself that at least I'm getting some fresh air & exercise. Havent been biking as I've had pain in my left hip for a a few days - surely not time for a replacement yet

hope everyone has a good day.

Aww makeup, how scary. I'd been on one of my night wakings, and I am so sorry I didn't see that you'd posted - I could have virtually sat with you while it got sorted. Glad that the police were able to respond, and I hope things are ok this morning. Sending you big hugs. :A

But we are searching for "normal" I know 29 is a lot but it was sensible things like must have a job, not must be a millionaire.

Weighed myself and put 2lbs back on:rolleyes: I knew it was too good to be true, 4lbs in a week is a lot for me. So it is back to 2llbs, but will hope for 2lbs again this week.

Make up, what a scary thing to happen , hope you are okay now.

I know, that's what made me shriek. I wasnt being specific about the colour of his shorts, that was just based on age, height, smoking status & having children  Perhaps normal, isnt out there anymore

Never mind, it will come off again, we just have to keep at it

Someone has just sent me a message, dont know what to do  He sounds okish but is rather old at 48, doesnt have & doesnt want children. My good manners tell me that I must reply, but I dont want to have to pay £114 in order to say 'on yer bike mate':rotfl:

I need to make a decision quick, any suggestions ?

114 pounds??!! I wouldn't bother for that amount of money. Are there no cheaper sites you can look into. You get cashback through quidco when you sign up to match - makes a 6 months membership about 20 quid and then you get 6 months free if you have found anybody, so really its a whole year for about 20 quid.
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending
