114 pounds??!! I wouldn't bother for that amount of money. Are there no cheaper sites you can look into. You get cashback through quidco when you sign up to match - makes a 6 months membership about 20 quid and then you get 6 months free if you have found anybody, so really its a whole year for about 20 quid.
Thanks Gwen,
To be honest, I joined the site unawaresI got sent this affinity test by email, completed it & next thing I've got a profile on this site, millions of emails saying who I might be compatible with & now people sending me messages , not at all what I was wanting . I've been mulling over joining a site - mainly because my social life is minimal & I work from home so the chances of meeting someone other than milkmen, meter readers or posties are very remote . Frankly I dont feel ready to put myself out there yet so think I will follow your advice & when I am ready follow your suggestion :T & remove myself & my profile from the site, quick .
How are you finding it ?

Is this thread for girls only?
Hello & on behalf of us all welcome
no, there are a few boys ... ok there's TDQ but he's currently en route to Oz but will no doubt be back online again soon. He's very male
All are very welcome here, & some posters arent even single or in debt, they just love it here because we're so fabulous :rotfl:
Sarah will be most upset that she wasnt here to welcome you, so please stick around or I may be in trouble ofr scaring you off.
so, what are your interest ( other than money saving ) ?

Oh ok
well I used to be a long term regular on here, but stopped about a year and a half ago. Too many things annoyed me, but anyhoo. I'm in the same boat as most people in this thread it seems - trying to pay off debt - mine from a disasterous move with an ex girlfriend a few years ago, compounded with enjoying going out far too much. I find being single helps, although obviously its far from ideal to be honest. And like some guys here I've lost a bit of weight recently, although that wasn't really from a concerted effort

Is this thread for girls only?
Hi the Boss. It isn't female only, but I can see how a quick read through might make it look like that:D
Welcome to the thread, it's good to have another male on board.:jPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Well in that case welcome back, I think we all need to have a break from here now & then, it can get a bit obsessive & all consuming.
when I start referring to my daughter as DD I know it's time to step back a bit.
By the way, do you like shoes :rotfl:0 -
Do I like shoes? Ironically I'm after a pair of converses and a casual pair, but not sure that's quite what you meant
DD, now that's a blast from the past0 -
Lula, I know how you feel. :silenced:0

Someone has just sent me a message, dont know what to do
He sounds okish but is rather old at 48, doesnt have & doesnt want children. My good manners tell me that I must reply, but I dont want to have to pay £114 in order to say 'on yer bike mate':rotfl:
I need to make a decision quick, any suggestions ?
£114!:eek::eek: There are definitely better uses for your money than that. Think of all the lovely things you can get from the garden centre shop:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Have any of you guys ever tried using facebook to meet people? I've met a few people on there, all of whom were really nice, and of course it doesn't cost anything. You can chat to them/message them before to make sure they are decent people etc and get to know them for a bit before meeting up. Definitely worth a try? Think I've seen about 8 people from there, and only 1 was a disaster because she barely said a word.0
