Hey All
Thanks for the kind words and wishes!
It was very scary but feel tons better now although completely knackered as got hardly any sleep.
My flat is the ground floor of a converted house and it is set back from the road and has a high fence in front, my neighbour from the flat to the side of the house has a van and he parks it in front of my window.
I woke up to hear 2 boys/ men discussing something outside my window - at first thought was my flat mate but soon realised it wasn't. Was clear after a while that they were hiding after committing a crime and was thinking about calling the Police when I heard the helicopter overhead. I called straightaway when I heard that and was whispering to the Police really worried they could hear me.
I told my flatmate what had happened and I made us hide in the kitchen (at the back) til the Police arrived.
The boys were gone but the Police confirmed it was them they were looking for.
I've been checking out news websites but found nothing so far. I live in SE London which is pretty notorious for knife crime and so was worried someone had been stabbed and the perps were in front of my flat!
There's been no follow up from the Police and I was shaken last night but feel fine now.
I went out for Fathers Day lunch today which was lovely. My 2 yr old niece was there and has decided the correct pronunciation of my name is Oh No......somewhat disconcerting to have a small person pointing at you whilst shouting Oh No Oh No!!
Eco - sounds like you had a great evening - what a great boost! I haven't forgotten about your fennel recipes and will pm you asap.
The Boss - hey there! converse are pretty cool..navy & white would go with most I think? I'm casual for work too and I love it, I'm not naturally tidy and could never manage all that ironing needed for a proper work outfit!
Lula - red shoes can be classy, think depends on whole outfit. I have red shoes but they are trainer-ish so wouldn't be classed as slutty....
Sarah - you are really doing well with the small things list, I know the weight is fluctuating but you must be feeling better from eating more healthily??
Feefee - yay to new man :j:j boo to falling off dfw wagon, hope you hitch yourself up soon again!
Hope everyone else is feeling good and ready for Monday. I feel so like a day off!! Still going to bed now to at least try and catch up on sleep!
Take care!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Been treating myself to new clothes etc to wear on dates with this lovely boy I have been seeing. He's never even seen the 'old' clothes from my wardrobe so I'm quite sure that it makes no difference to him.. it's definitely me
:o
Anyways, all is going really well, he's absolutely lovely and I have to stop myself from freaking out about it and looking for the catch.. It's been so long since I've been out with anyone... surely there must be a hitch somewhere?
Maybe I've just been uber fussy and finally met a good 'un? We shall see, will keep you all posted...
Ooh Fee Fee, how fab:jTotally understand you treating yourself to new clothes in the circumstances:DOh and I've lost 3 pounds... bonus! Not sure if I should tell you all but I think its down to ditching the weekday wine.. painful to do but working:rotfl::rotfl:

Am practically at square one again now.
To be honest I think you are closer. When applying for a mortgage they will look at your outgoings which includes debt repayments. So that would reduce the money they would lend you (if indeed lend at all) and that would put you further away from your dream house / flat!I've got my own flat :j:j

Yes it was the jeans one, I didn't get them in the end, am waiting until I lose weight:o
It's horrible isn't it. I had a nice cushion there to keep me going and now it's gone. The upside is that my monthly outgoings have gone right down aand I am less stressed but I do miss being part of the way to getting a house. Am practically at square one again now.
I got size 14 which is too big but I can't get in a 12, I'm in between (& have been for ages), I need a size 13 :rotfl:
It's a bit strange when your outgoings go right down, you keeping checking your account, convinced you've missed something & waiting for it to appear, takes quite a while to get in the mindset, that what you seeing is actually right, you'll soon build uo your house deposit again Sarah, it's just  to have to start from scratch.Don't Take Life too Seriously - Nobody gets out alive :rotfl:0 -
I'm back, got to get up early so off to bed soon, but before I go I've decided to follow Sarah's advice about working with what you've got, and I've got a house and car, so my life's nearly perfect and if a bf comes along then it will be, but in the mean time i should enjoy what i have, and stop wishing for something that won't just turn up.
I don't have any red shoe's mainly cos i don't think it's my colour, but if they are your colour then wear them.0 -
It's good that your flatmate was there with you make up, glad you are feeling better and hope your mouth is healing well.Sarah - you are really doing well with the small things list, I know the weight is fluctuating but you must be feeling better from eating more healthily??
Bizzarely I do feel quite a bit slimmer, think I had just had a weekend of eating rubbish and feeling fat after being out partying, am feeling normalish again now.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

I think you are right, I really didn't have enough each month with debt repayments to be able to afford a mortgage. Now I probably do if I can just get the deposit saved.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
makeup it's ok about the recipes you've had a carp weekend with the dentist and your night visitors, you've enough to worry about, and as I hate the dentist or butcher as I like to think of them i understand.
Sarah you'll probably save your deposit quicker now you can concentrate on it.0 -

You're right, I keep looking at internet banking and thinking something isn't right when the balance stays the same for a few days. :rotfl:Am determined to not get myself in this mess again and am using cash/debit card for everything, using the card really makes me stop and think, do I really want that much coming out of my account? Am all excited because I have to take some trousers back and my balance will go up by £40:DPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
