Hi Lipstick, course you can join in, most post in the evening, but I'm at work skiving for a bit,and you were right to dump the bf, plenty more fish in the sea and all that.
Makeup's right when you know people are reading your posts and commenting on them it does make a difference, funny you should mention the boots one, cos i did get a bargain from my local one last week, if you've seen those gel inserts you put in heels to stop the ball of your foot hurting as much you'll know they aren't cheap, they were reduced so picked 2 packs up and when they went through the till it came to £1.87 for 2, they didn't have any more or I'd have been round for some more. I don't wear heels all the time so my feet aren't used to them.

I live on the edge of Peckham (nr Old Kent Road if you know the area).

I'm always pleased that someone has read my post commented on it! Definitely worth a thanks!

And sometimes really simple things like - I hope you feel better soon - are real mood-boosters!

(If you want to get super-thanks, can I recommend the Bootsing thread. Post on there with the bargains in your local Boots and you can get something like 20 or 30 'thanks'!!!!!!)

Yes, know it quite well. My line manager used to live near there and walked into our office in London Bridge every day. You're right about your description of it though.

I'll hold off on boosting for now, but its an option :money:

Can I join in...... Im single, and in debt, looking to get out of debt and sort out a home for myself....
Have tried Girls date for free, got loads of oldies wanting a bit on the side..... lol.... not my scene at all. Have just dumped a rubbish bf who was always borrowingf a few quid and never paying it back.

Felling good for doing it, but a bit sad for letting it happen!

Don't feel sad, your next boyfriend will be so much better and actually look after you rather than run your finances into the ground. Where are you from?

    Hey guys,

    & welcome to Lipstick,

Boss - we're just very fab & friendly over here :D. Shame you werent around on the CC board when I first joined. I first posted on there with a question , it got over 50 views & not one person even bothered to reply or even say 'hello, cant help but sure someone else will soon'

The general atmosphere over on DFW is much more friendly, we like, we stay :D

I've now been inundated with messages from the dating site & I've now removed my profile as it's just bloody annoying having to keep delete them, it's taking up room where all those surveys should be :rotfl:

My lovely friend has just come back from a hol in Portugal & met a lovely man there wh wanted to take her out on his boat. She didnt as was with a group of married friends, but he's asked her to go out there again :j

Glad that monday's over now & looking forward to friday when my sister is taking me on a surprise outing somewhere. She's kept it a secret for 6 months now :A& I'm pretty sure it's a gig but I'm purposely not looking at any kind of music news so I dont know who :D

Will prob be back later but have to now go eat something .....

    xxx

That's annoying, especially not getting any sort of acknowledgement at all. I guess the question you had doesn't apply any longer?

    Hi

    Just checking in to say:
    • Hi and welcome to The Boss and Lipstick
    • makeup - Glad you are ok and that the mouth is healing. How was Birmingham?
    • Shoe Gal - have you only got two pairs of red shoes? (Only one pair here!)
    • Lula - looking forward to an exciting Friday
    • Feefee ;) - nice work
    • Had a great £19 mini-hols at the de Vere at Wychwood Park. I knew we were in for a good time when the guy at the security gate was holding up the traffic to let two ducks, a swan and a moorhen plus her two chicks cross the road. We had a lovely room with a balcony, and rabbits scampering across the lawn outside.
Will be back later (hopefully), once I have done the things I have to do like pay bills, check bank yada yada yada...

And how lovely of your sister, really nice gift.

Nothing much to report today. I'm knackered after the weekend and ready for bed already!!!

Eco - I'm gonna pm those recipes now!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Hi all, hope everyone is ok. Welcome to the thread lipstick:hello:

Not done much today, had to get a present for an anniversary party coming up shortly- £40 icon9.gif but apart from that it was an NSD. Am currently eating sausage baps as they were due to go out of date tomorrow, not very good for the diet but means I can put the food shop off for another day and not waste food. Have been sensible today so it shouldn't do too much damage.

    List for today:
    • got present sorted out
    • updated spreadsheet
    • coins in piggy
    • £2 coin in pot
    • checked quidco and pigsback
    • food was coffees, teas, apple, yoghurt, banana, toast, sausage baps
    • free coffee in work
    • litre of water and vitamins
    • clicked on some things on the nectar site to get more points next time I go shopping
    • checked nectar points
