    Hi makeup

I paid for the train to London this month, plus chiropodist x 2, opticians, pedicure, manicure (fiver each, so not that bad), one months match.com membership.

I won't be doing any chiropodist, opticians, beauty treatments or match.com membership next month, but will be going to Wimbledon and I'm currently looking at my hair to figure out if I can get another month out of it before it needs cutting again. It's looking pretty ok at the moment, so I'm tempted to keep shoving conditioner on it and leave it.

I think (or rather know) I waste a lot of food. I buy healthy stuff in, then am too tired/lazy to cook it and buy carp instead. Really need to get more organised about that. How much do other people spend on food roughly a month? I need to stop going to the shops and buying odd chocolate bars aswell. Waste of money.

Hmm, well I spend about £25 per week. This is made up of £12 on my fruit & veg box from Abel & Cole, and then around the same at Tesco on meat, cheese, other bits and bobs. Some weeks less, some weeks more.

The thing is this doesn't include sneaky treats from sandwich man or corner shop.

I also eat out quite a bit, always with a voucher but that can add up a lot.

Although have been to La Tasca with 50% off voucher and works out to be about a tenner, but we haven't been drinking wine so just includes soft drink. The deal with Pizza Express is about the same esp. on Orange Weds (free garlic bread / dough balls and 241 pizza plus soft drink)
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

    Hi

Good to see you again Pink. Sounds like a bad month financially. Did you manage to get rid of the fake GHD's? Did you buy genuine ones to replace them? I'm not having a great month either. There's still 11 days to go till payday! Argh!!! Have you started your new job yet? You'll be able to throw a good lump at the debt then, won't you?

I'm just feeling so bleurgh at the moment. I can totally relate to the loneliness of living alone and I think that's what's bothering me at the moment. I've got no balance. I'm either going out, spending money, ignoring my credit cards or staying in, trying not to spend money, stressing about money and I end up bored and miserable. I think I have made quite a bit of progress over the last few weeks, but now I feel like I've hit a wall. I've spent the majority of the weekend moping if I'm honest and I feel so annoyed with myself for just wasting time and wasting my life like that, but still cannot motivate myself to do anything other than look on here and do some washing.

In between feeling sorry for myself, I managed to get a couple of little things done - called up BT yesterday as I'm 12 quid in credit, asked them to put it back in my bank account. I swear I could hear the girl sniggering, but better in my account than theirs. My 25 quid from Vanquis on quidco has validated, so I'm hoping for a payout soon. Still no sign of the 50 quid from Halifax though - grrr. Shabbey finally agreed to backdate my interest due to their ineptness last year, so that's an extra 28 quid in that ISA. Better than nothing I suppose.

Right I'm off in search of some motivation. Oh and welcome Lucy! I think I've read a bit of your diary, I'm not sure. Definitely seen you about and if I could make 36 quid from ebay I'd be chuffed to bits, so well done.

No, I've still got them, they're still in the box, unsure what to do with them! I bought proper ones so have outdoors hair :o I have started it so this is the first proper month of payments from now on :D

11 days to pay day - bad! I've got 14 days to do, well maybe 12, so skint!

Don't feel bad about getting your money back from BT. Better in your pocket than theirs! They have a trip for senior management to Las Vegas every year, so don't feel bad. The expense claims in there are vetted more than they used to be, but they still have that trip, don't know about this year though. :o

Did you buy them off ebay? Could you not put them back on there?

If you did, can't you get your money back? After all, they're not what they were sold as.

It includes washing powder, fabric conditioner and cleaning supplies. However I live in a shared flat so we take it in turns to buy stuff like bin bags, loo roll, things like that. (and we don't do a lot of cleaning....)

Occasionally I'll pick up deodorant / shampoo that kind of thing but rarely.

I mostly pick up that kind of thing from Boots on special offers.

makeup - Haven't finished listing on the eBaying yet, as I'm revving up to a bumper listing using Turbo lister which will go live on either Thursday (10 days) or Sunday (7 days). I am getting rid of most of my work clothes, as I won't need so much suiting/linen in the brave new world, my higher heels, as I can't walk in them any more, and basically my excessive buying of the past few years. gossip.gif I've made enough for a holiday and a laptop so far, so you can see how bad my wardrobes are. The bonus now is that I can actually get the clothes I wear in my dressing room; only the upstairs wardrobes to go now!

hi.gifto Lucy - and nice work on the eBaying. I do truly hate doing it, so congratulations for getting that listing done.

Gwen - I normally allow myself either £500 or £600 a month depending on what I am doing. It's a bit odd for me, in that it's all coming out of my savings, so the amount for each month can be flexible. This month has £100 extra because we are away for 2 weekends, and I am also stocking up on bits for my big hols in July (sunblock, coolspray, flip flops, new tankini ;) etc). This includes all the toiletries, washing powder, loo rolls, and general household iffit. It used to include our veggie box, but I have stopped this as they were sending us carp - need to get a new one sorted. It does include about half of our food shopping (for 3); my half is generally about £35 a week. I also pay for petrol, prescriptions and my mobile out of this. I think I have it easy because of not working; it's amazing how much I used to spend of coffees because of trains arriving too early for meetings, magazines because the train was delayed. We also eat out a fair bit with vouchers: Tasca, Cafe Rouge, GBK etc.

Pink - Is there any chance of getting your money back on those GHDs by raising a dispute saying that the item is significantly not as described? Not sure if you have already tried, but if I can help at all, I will do my best. I've had money back for a dress using the system, so I can talk you through it if you are in time to raise a dispute.

Sending adrink1.gif or a coffee.gifto all of you suffering the current infestation of carp.

    Evening all.

I hate listing on Ebay, but I'm looking at a total income this week of about £50 which is not to be sniffed at.

I'm suffering a little funds wise at the moment has I've had to take a 10% paycut at work. So I've gone from about £400 spare to £200

Luckily I have loads of make-up etc left over from my spending days.
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:
:ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A

That's really rough, a friend of mine has just had the same thing at his place too..... I hope things turn around soon so everyone gets back to their proper salary.

Well done on the ebaying, I must get myself into gear but I've not got spare weekends coming up, I've quite a bit planned....hmmm need to find the time!
