    Hi all

Seems there's been a shoal of little carps around this week then. Positivity flowing from me, oi Shoe Gal you definitely ARE lovable (and ffabulous) :kisses3:.

May have to google some Feng Shui as somebody recently told me they had some spookily good results from sorting their relationship corner! (have a bad feeling mine is currently occupied by unused yoga mat and washing basket)

    Rosa xx

    Thanks Rosa

I have done the 'new sheets, bed karma' thing today (as per Miranda in SATC) - currently my neice is sleeping in it :D Not quite the effect I was going for :rotfl::rotfl:

    HI All

Rosa - glad you've got your thoughts in order. Most interested to find out if your feng shui experiment works ....keep us posted!!!

Sarah - how annoying! I hate when technology fails. Our internet went down and I had to use a cable instead of wifi and it drove me insane...at point I was facebooking from the hallway as I only had a short cable! When I bought a set top box for freeview I got one for about £20 / £25 and it has been fine so far so I wouldn't worry about downgrading.

shoegal - hope you feel better soon, and ditto Rosa's comments about fabulousness!

I had a good day today. I went to the library and a book jumped out at me - Not Married, Not bothered. It's fiction not self-help and I'm not sure how true this is but apparently in the 1850's there was an imbalance in men vs women - about 400,000 more women and in parliament there was a debate entitled 'The problem of suplus and excess women':eek:

I also went swimming and then had lunch with a friend - yummy lebanese. Wandered around Borough Market spending far too much on fancy food. Then came home for a nap and then went to see a play.

I'm now watching the wire on dVD and gonna head to the freezer in a moment for a much earned (hmmmm) white Magnum.

Hope those among us who had carppy days/ weeks feel better soon.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Far be it from me to put temptation in anyone's way, but the £10 de Vere hotel rooms are back up again:

The offer ends tomorrow. The Mill and Old Swan comes personally recommended, and I can let you know about Wychwood Park after next weekend...

I weighed myself this morning and I appear to have lost 4lbs since last weekend:confused::D:j Now some of this is bound to be natural fluctuation but I am quite happy with that:D I decided to cheat a bit after last weekend and put my starting weight for my 1lb a week loss target as what I was then (my highest weight ever:o) so only 22lbs to go:jJust hope I don't fluctuate back up again:rolleyes:

Awww, thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow. So far, I've been good. :D I have taken pics for 30 items (otherwise known as the doing the landing boogie, and probably quite good exercise), and have done the measurements/notes, plus have put 5 items onto Turbolister. That gives me 25 to write up in time for them to go online on Thursday.

I am about to retire to the garden to plan my holiday packing list, as I am going a bit square-eyed here. I think I have already packed virtually about ten times, trying to find that elusive combination of items that will make me look sophisticated, funky, thinner and comfortable. Any combination of these is usually difficult. I have also found a white tie back top :j whilst perusing the potential eBay listings, so virtue has for once resulted in some reward. :D

blissysmile.gifon those four pounds. :j Nice work!

Someone has parked outside with their bass on very loud. I think I need to go and reposition their sub-woofer in the best tradition of being old enough to be disgusted.

    Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is well! Well, it has been a tough month financially and I've kind of taken 3 steps backwards, what with £500 less pay this month, broken hair straighteners, fake hair straighteners, a car service :( Not feeling great and worried I'm going to be stuck with my dad until I am dead. The past 6 months have cost me so much, I was supposed to have paid off loads by now but I'm no further forward. I have been going out spending on things, I need to get back on to the path of debt-freeness.

    Needing a morale boost!
