Gwen - I'm at about the same stage with you on the matched betting. Can we share a collective brain when we get going?
Sorry, forgot to reply to this Holly. Yes, we can totally merge brains when MB fever kicks off in August!Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
I was particulary please with myself, I picked things up, I thought will I eat this this week, decided no and put them down. Must have at least halved the bill. I may finally be getting the hang of being sensible and not buying everything I want.:D
That is really good Sarah, I am so carp, I'll spend ages weighing up the prices of washing powder, spagetti, meat, sandwich stuff and then quite merrily stash cakes, biscuits and the like in my trolley without hardly a backwards glance!!! And I did it again this week with the half price white magnums in Tesco's ....... (they are my favourites!)
I went bowling tonight for someone's leaving do at work. I was so terrible....but we still had fun.
I'm looking forward to this weekend. I'm hoping to go swimming tomorrow, then meeting a friend for lunch (lebanese - yum!) and a play in the evening.
Then Sunday I'm out with a friend using those tickets I won in a competition.
~Good luck with the matched betting, Gwen and Holly, I look forward to hearing all about the cash you are making!!
Eco - I've found some more fennel recipes, I'll try and send them to you this weekend
Hope you all have a fab weekend!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Thank you all... you're probably right. I guess partly I am upset because it's so rare for me to find someone I like in the first place, and partly because I am actually pretty sure that the very hefty hints he dropped to me were before he started seeing her, despite being after her very unsubtle introduction. I am notoriously thick at these things, so it was only after discussion with a couple of mates that they basically said 'he was trying to ask you out you moron!'. So it may be a case of have missed the boat rather than he's a complete git. I don't have any real concrete evidence to think they're together, it's all 'the way that was said' etc but I'm still pretty sure I'm right. My intuition usually is, even when I wish it wasn't. It's also telling me that they won't last, although I have no idea why I would feel that or what I would think about it. Have decided that a tactical withdrawal is indeed the way to handle this since it means I can keep my dignity, if he does care about me he will notice and it should register that I'm either p*d off or upset. So no more banter, no more sharing of chocolate and basically nothing that could remotely be interpreted as inappropriate behaviour with somebody else's boyfriend.
Still I suppose there are some good things that have come out of this...
1) I have moved from 'Don't need boyfriend have enough hassle in life already' to 'ready for relationship now'
2) I have found myself a great new look for work which seems to be very popular with men in general, not just him
3) I already have a fab outfit for next week's evening event and am going to take my fabbest swimsuit etc
You're right really, there is every chance I will meet someone else now I'm open to the possibility. And there might be some other people I know at next week's event, so you never know who I could be introduced to.
Ramble over, hugs :grouphug:and cups of tea to all for cheering me up
Rosa xx
PS. And when I do have to deal with him, am going to imagine him being epilated by Lula. That should ensure a sly and mysterious grin :rotfl:Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Rosa - you are just too BAD and too fabulous! Is Lula poised and ready with the evil epilator?
Seriously, that all sounds good to me - including the "ready for relationship" mode, and the clothing weapons of attraction primed and ready for assault.
Shoe Gal - Sorry it's been a carp one. Anything we can do to help? Edit: and Lottie? I am on carp hunting patrol and will do my best to corral and evict the smal golden piscine ones...
Back in a bit. There is a suspicious amount of sniggering going on downstairs, and I want to go and stick my nosy beak into whatever exciting things may be happening...;)0 -

My set top box has finally given up the ghost. I am trying to watch it and it keeps freezing every 10 mins and having to be reset. I have only had it for a year and like a fool I spent £90 on it. I will have to replace it, I don't watch much tv but I would miss it if it wasn't there. I will be sensible this time though, if something is only going to last me a year I will get one of the tesco value ones. But it is more spending, GRRRRR.:mad:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0

Hi all
Seems there's been a shoal of little carps around this week then. Positivity flowing from me, oi Shoe Gal you definitely ARE lovable (and ffabulous) :kisses3:.
May have to google some Feng Shui as somebody recently told me they had some spookily good results from sorting their relationship corner! (have a bad feeling mine is currently occupied by unused yoga mat and washing basket)
