    Hi Oh fabulous ones,
Thursday at last, got no plans for the weekend but I'm glad about that, just going to potter round the house and garden and relax, what's everyone else up to?
i haven't got 5 good things to list but for some reason i don't feel down about it, I'm poor till next Friday pay day, but I don't feel down about that either, I'm sure someones smuggled me some happy pills.
anyway got to work so I'll be back later.

    Hello, you fabulousnesses :D

Rosa - I will excuse the extra sparkle as you were having a lovely day ;):D
makeup - Hope you enjoyed Madame Butterfly (and managed to get home without too much hassle)
eco - Glad you are on the happies, that's great news.
Sarah - Hope you are doing ok, and that the new masterplan is suiting you.

I'm having one of those wading through treacle days. Over the past two nights, I've managed a rather inadequate 4 hours of sleep. I think I am going to ignore the advice I've been taking about trying to lie there and relax when I can't sleep (while listening to next door's Grandfather clock chime the hours); instead, I think I will get up, log on, and spend some treat money on eBay, which will hopefully give me a happy buzz and fill me with some nice sleep-inducing endorphins! ;)

Am off for a large, strong coffee to wake myself up properly...

    Have a happy Thursday
    See you later. x

    Hi all,

Swallowed a frog today!! Did something at work first thing that I have been putting off for weeks and has been playing on my mind....not sure it was any good but I got it done.

I have no plans for this evening so hoping to figure out this site a bit more so I don't have to keep searching for threads, also want to sign up to some challenges....hopefully by the end of the evening I will have posted on here all that I have achieved.

First bit of good news is that E-On have reduced my monthly DD to £26 from £37....yeah!!

Also, due to heartache I have managed to seriously cut my spending this month...silver lining and all that.

Hope everybody has a good evening x

Hi all, have had internet problems so haven't been able to get on for a few days but have been lurking at work. Hope everyone is okay, Lula, thank goodness you have reappeared:D Was getting worried about you and couldn't post icon8.gif

Well it has been a week since the dreaded singleton weekend and I have calmed down now, I do think it was a good thing really as it forced me to take a good hard look at me and my life. I cannot continue coasting along thinking a bright future is going to come knocking, I have to get myself there. I have been trying to do my debt busting self improving things, has been very annoying not being able to post. I have not done much, but have been taking steps in the right direction. I am happy with baby steps for now, with the hope that once I get into my stride things will gain momentum and speed up a little.

I only have my loan left and can't make any overpayments to that but I am stil technically in debt so I will refer to it as debt busting although it is now more saving up than busting anything. Work has been a bit rubbish again but I have less outgoings now and I am keeping positive and it will pick up again.

I have been quite good with the diet as I keep reminding myself I want it sorted by Christmas and every time I think of scoffing something I remind myself how I felt last weekend and of all the nice clothes I have to wear when I get my flat stomach back. I have tried to do little "goddess" things every day, pedicure, face packs etc which is making me feel better, the weightloss is the big thing with that though. I will feel lots better when that is noticable.

So for today on the money/life improvement plan:
    • coins in piggy
    • closed Barclaycard
    • lots of housework type things to make room look nicer as I always feel better and more organised when it is tidy
    • tidied food cupboard so I know what I have in and thrown out lots of out of date things.
    • paid small cheque into savings
    • have had toast, coffees, fish and veg, banana, yoghurt, nuts
    • had savings book updated (looking very bleak now most of it is gone icon9.gif)
    • checked pigsback and quidco (still no movementicon9.gif)
    • made a loan payment
    • not used car
    • will file and paint my nails later
    • read papers online
    • checked nectar points balance
    • LSD- just some fruit, bread and jam and used points voucher
Think that's it for now, off to do some more tidying:D

Sarah methinks you might like the saying I came across recently - think it's supposed to be Chinese but can't remember where I found it.

"The best time to plant a tree is always 20 years ago. The second best time is today."

I use it now for those 'oh my god why didn't I just get this sorted moments'. So that I just get on and get them sorted!

Thanks for this Rosa, it feels very appropriate at the moment. icon7.gif I always have "why didn't I get it sorted?" moment but I am planting my tree now and I am determined to keep on top of things.
