Single and in Debt Part II

Hi Summer74 - Many thanks for replying.
It does amaze me when people are quick to comment about my living arrangements, especially a friend of mine. I wouldnt call her a smug married, she is living with someone and they've bought their own place but i do feel sometimes she rubs my nose in it which is no help really but I choose to ignore it. I try to avoid any questions about my living arrangements if I can as you're right is no ones business really.
To be honest i know a couple of people my age single that don't own their own property but are renting with friends, the way i see it is im renting with one of my best friends, my mum! Sounds better that way.
I think with me when it comes to relationships, i've never met the right person, if i did it would all probably full into place and my situation i'm wouldn't matter but until then I just get on with it. Only good thing is i'm good with any dramas that i face in life, i can basically get through them on my own and have made me a stronger person for it.
I think being single has made me get into debt though just through bad choices, if i had a partner i could discuss things through and make a joint decision over things but i'm one of those people that goes head first into things without really thinking it all through.
Believe it or not i'm a lot happier then i used to be. I'm progressing with clearing my debt which is a huge achievement, i have got a good social life and a good job which im thankful but i have got this huge gap in my life which i admit i used to fill with going shopping, i'll admit i still do on the odd occassion but a girls got to treat herself!!0 -

Hi CupCake - and welcome
This sounds scarily familiar - where are all the 'right' men hiding I want to know

I just wrote a huge post about having to stay with my dad, having a flat 500 miles away that I can't sell right now and people's attitudes. Blooming thing is lost now. This thing logged me out!0

How are you Shoe Shop-a-holic?

I am Ok, feeling a bit sad over a friend's troubles but not too bad. Not done much today but managed to get to the gym so quite proud of myself! I don't know how you manage to go so often, I find it a real struggle, although I actually enjoy it once I get there
Not going to inflict my story on the newbies, nothing very exciting, but it's all in my diary thread if anybody wants to know
Off to make some nachos for dinner (in the 'whoops' in Asda, very MSE!) and then get psyched up for The Apprentice Final - I am an addict (sad, I know)
And on the shoe front - super high, super fab gold wedges!!! I am a lost causeSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0
