I had a missed call yeserday which I gooled just now as I did not recognise it and it turns out to be Next. From which I have ordered one thing in the last few years, around Christmas, and paid off straight away.

It says on the website I found that it is Next and they automatically send you their directory which they charge for if you have an account with them. I was very careful to put I did not want the directory and ignored their offer of free postage if you ordered it. I am not paying £3.50 for something I can get free on their website.

Now i am worried that they have sent it (I haven't received anything), I of course have not paid, not knowing that I had anything outstanding with them, and it may show as a default on my credit file. I am going to be hugely annoyed if this is what has happened. icon8.gif

  • A treats budget. hmm like the sound of that.

and do not mention Next stupid !!!!!!s.

I have started a new diary, much more laid back, not trying to kill myself to pay off my debts, I don't buy Magazines or make up (am surviving on Avon left overs) I barely go out and all that happens is I spend money in other ways (I am the reason why Amazon isn't suffering from the Credit crunch)

I am doing it a month at a time and not worrying about the date of being debt free. I do want a life, I do want some balance.

I will still do all the debt busting things, I just won't be constantly working out sums and missing out on stuff cos I need to get my debt below a certain level.

And Sarah, ringing Next costs five pence per minute. cheeky expensive nonsense.

I am going to write them a stroppy letter!

    xxxxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Sounds a bit odd! I have a Next account and although they sometimes leave the catalogue in some obscure places if you're not in  the bill comes separately through the post so you would've received that

More likely to be some sort of sales cold call. Give them a call tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be able to get it sorted :D

Am hoping that is it, I definitely haven't had the directory, am not sure about having a bill though, I never open any post that may be a bill as I have everything on dd and I hate looking at bills. I much prefer the head in the sand approach. :o:D

I am doing it just like this too, may take longer but is much less stressful. I do not know my DFD or any of my debt totals except one. If you can only deal with one debt you may as well only think about one debt.

:rotfl:Subtle then:D I don't know if I have had anything like that, knowing I didn't owe them anything may mean I got something like that and dismissed it as promotional stuff. Thanks for the number, I will call them tomorrow.

Well said Sarah! This is exactly how I am looking at things, hence my signature. I know I have approx £25k in total but seeing it written down everyday doesn't make it decrease any faster! It just makes me feel overwhelmed - and a bit hopeless
