Sarah, I think you are missing the point here! There is no human contact and no FUN in this plan  Surely the idea is to make debt busting part of life, not life itself?

I really think a little more fun and taking a little longer to pay off debts is the way to go :D

:D That isn't a plan, I am just saying that it could be done. By someone with more self control and willpower than me. :D I am going to a party and an anniverary party this weekend, which will mean free food and drink:jand apart from a new top I don't have any other expenses coming up for the next 2 weeks so it would be doable. I would never manage it though:o

Sounds familiar. I applied for a Bank of Scotland card yesterday. Was really impressed when I discovered 20 pounds had tracked this morning. It means I've got over 55 pounds on quidco on its way. I'm also waiting on the 50 quid cashback from Halifax for my house insurance. Tis very frustrating knowing the money is there to pay off my Oasis card, but not having it to be able to do it. I have just had an email though to say that 5.16 has been paid from Quidco - woohoo!! I suppose it all helps, but I'd rather it was all much faster.

I've applied for a new ISA this weekend. The interest rate is still rubbish (aren't they all at the mo), but it is better than what I'm currently getting and considering that the vast majority of my savings are in that account I think I have to maximise the interest I can get on it.

Other than that I've discovered I have over 20 pounds of Clubcard vouchers which I am considering what to do with. I've also got quite a lot of emails/winks on match to reply to, but currently can't be bothered with. How rubbish am I? I really would make a great girlfriend - sorry, I can't come out tonight, I'm checking my bank account/selling stuff on Amazon...

Holly - Thanks for the advice about Amazon. I've decided to master that website first and sell everything I can on there, then sell the rest on fleabay. I'm going to work out how much it'll cost me to post the book though cos it is quite big and heavy.

I think I might have to start doing some sort of Goddess plan aswell, as I feel quite minging at the moment. With the warm weather I think I should make more of an effort and hopefully start to feel better about myself.

Hope you've all enjoyed the sunshine!

    Gwenx

P.S. Good going TDQ - make sure you follow up on that girl.

Am willing to give up most things on the list for someone who makes me laugh, it is the most important thing really will still secretly wish for a Mr Fixit as well though. I will definitely need someone who is laid back about domesticity, I can hardly keep one room clean and tidy.

Well today has seen a first: OH has put up the parasol in the garden this morning. His first words on coming home this evening - "It's still up!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Yay to my new Mr Fixit!

The reason it is still up is because I crawled under the table and screwed the pole into the base, but I haven't told him that. Who knows what the next venture into Mr Fixit territory may bring? ;)

On the subject of free/cheap treats, has anyone tried local colleges for hair and beauty or meals? I'm not sure if I would be brave enough to let anyone near my hair, but I'd certainly go for the facials/manicure (the manicure would certainly challenge anyone - I have weird nails). And the local food college is so good, it has a long waiting list for bookings.

New month's treat budget starts tomorrow. :D

Do you read a lot of magazines? You could get one of the clubcard deals where you get a magazine subscription for a year, I am saving my vouchers for that, then you get a nice freebie through the door every month :j

    Hi All

Car names - when I didn't live in London I had a car - a Fiat Panda called Donatella. I have a bike now but I haven't named it.....although I do often say 'come on lady' when I'm going up hills super slow...not sure if that is to me or the bike?!!!

    Was she orange? :rotfl:

Sounds like a fab Saturday night - glad you had a great time.

I have thought about that but never looked into it.

I would be interested in getting a massage on the cheap... I should definitely look into it.

I've had problems with my back in the past and have really benefited from osteopathy / chiropractic treatment but it is very expensive and I've often thought that I'd like to go to a school or training centre for free / cheap training! They must need people to work on!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hi Holly

I went to the local college last year for pedicures about every 3 weeks during the summer. I'm rubbish at painting my own toenails and it's only about 6 pounds for a pedicure there. They did really well and they can't go too far wrong with nails. I had a manicure one time too. I wouldn't let them near my hair either, I'm quite fussy about my hair and that'd terrify me. I'd consider a facial though. In fact, I'm going to try and get an appointment for next week.
