    Hi Gwen

Thanks for the tip, I know where some of my treats budget is going :D I love YSL mascara and am trying to wean myself off it :o but the couple of 'cheapies' I've tried just haven't been as good

YSL mascara is the best. Although there seems to have been numerous developments in the mascara world since I last bought some. My friend had some vibrating mascara when she visited the other week. Her lashes did look good. And those ones with the round wand - I'm not sure how good they are?

I'm using Avon at the moment and its definitely not as good as YSL, but will do for work.

I am doing it just like this too, may take longer but is much less stressful. I do not know my DFD or any of my debt totals except one. If you can only deal with one debt you may as well only think about one debt.

Yep that sounds like a good plan.

hmmmm. ponders a mini challenge <---- see I can't help it!!

still it might be a good idea.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    *makes note of number*

    where did you find that?

I shall ring them tomorrow and get proper stroppy!

I use www.saynoto0870.com for anything like that. You just type in the number and it seaches for free or geographic numbers

I also find that you can ring the number for calling from abroad that many credit cards have, minus the 00 44, this is a UK geographic number which is either cheaper or free depending on your call plan

If they've been really carp, write them a letter. In my experience, it gets a far more serious response than a phone call. I ordered something instore, was told it'd be in on a certain date. Drove up there, was not there, made another two unnecessary trips because I was told the item was there when it wasn't. Totally agree, they are carp, but I wrote a letter and at least got some vouchers. Now when they say something I ordered is there, I wait a few days...just in case.

Well said Sarah! This is exactly how I am looking at things, hence my signature. I know I have approx £25k in total but seeing it written down everyday doesn't make it decrease any faster! It just makes me feel overwhelmed - and a bit hopeless

Exactly! The one thing i have really learned in the last few months is that I must stop feeling overwhelmed. Downward spiral ahoy. Anything like that must be nipped in the bud immediately, it leads to panic, thinking what's the point, will never get this card paid, must buy nice things to feel better, must avoid looking at online banking, will never get my own house, etc etc etc. No good can come of it and it doesn't help or change the situation.

Thanks Sarah, I don't always feel inspiring  But it's good to know I can always come on here for a rant/some support - people who are not in debt/have 2 salaries coming in don't always understand just how hard - and demoralising - it can be
