Thanks Sarah, I don't always feel inspiring  But it's good to know I can always come on here for a rant/some support - people who are not in debt/have 2 salaries coming in don't always understand just how hard - and demoralising - it can be

What i like about this thread is that you can do something really stupid and people will be supportive, not in a "Oh, that's brilliant, you deserve to keep spending in this way" way, but in a "I get how stressful it is and why you do that" way. It is bloody hard on one salary sometimes. 2 salaries can absorb a lot of nonsense. One cannot.

I have decided to stop thinking about the 2 income thing as it was driving me mad. I just keep thinking 2 decent incomes would get a mortgage done in 10 years.

However, I do lurk a lot on the main board and I think I have an idealised opinion of 2 incomes ie, how fab, I think we should go on a European mini break next weekend (I had that on my 100 things to do this year, may have to settle for it being on 100 things before I die:rolleyes:) and btw I want fresh flowers in every room now, and yes we should go out for lunch as I don't feel like cooking. I can't help thinking 2 incomes would be like that.

It might be - but as somebody who has done 2 incomes - it's not guaranteed!

Somebody suggested a SAID meet a while back, I think (?) - a 2010 European city break for a group of F Fabulous (goddess like, debt under control :D) ladies sounds like a good plan !!! :A

My friend had some vibrating mascara when she visited the other week. Her lashes did look good. And those ones with the round wand - I'm not sure how good they are?

On the subject of free/cheap treats, has anyone tried local colleges for hair and beauty or meals? I'm not sure if I would be brave enough to let anyone near my hair, but I'd certainly go for the facials/manicure (the manicure would certainly challenge anyone - I have weird nails). And the local food college is so good, it has a long waiting list for bookings.

My neice is at college doing hair and some of her friends are doing various beauty courses, the prices really are good and they train on each other then have to pass a exam, then there supervised on the public, so it probably is worth going for they sometimes take a bit longer cos they've not had a lot of practice.

Have just checked quidco and all the payout dates have been moved to June icon8.gif I have never had this problem before, it's very annoying. I need to get some insurance this month as well, it's all very nice to see the quidco money adding up, but a bit pointless if they are not going to give it to me. icon8.gif Might look at another cashback site for this, am getting very annoyed with quidco now.

Am aiming for an NSD today as I don't need anything. I need to check exactly when my insurance runs out, ring Next to check I don't owe anything, pigsback for clicks and anything else money related I can think of.

Hope everyone has a good day. icon7.gif

I've used two osteopathy training colleges and they've both been fab. You're treated by a final year student supervised by a qualified tutor. There's no way I could afford regular treatment at standard prices and I am happy to attend the student clinic as we do something similar on my course. If you're in reach of London try the British School of Osteopathy and if in reach of Oxford try the Oxford Brookes training clinic - google either for info on appointments, last time I went it was about £20. I'm sure there are training clinics in other places as well, just check that they are for the degree courses (should be as osteopaths are registered now).

Glad we are all super chilled  :D it does make a difference being able to chat openly about all these things so :grouphug: to everybody!
