Grrrrrrrrr!:mad::mad: I have lost my ipod:mad::mad::mad: I had it yesterday to download some things and now I can't find it. I threw out 2 bin bags of stuff last night so I have had to go through the bin bags (yuck), I have changed my bedding and it is not in there, I have looked everywhere! I need my ipod to listen to things when I am trying to get to sleep. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

On the plus side, I pulled my bed out completely to look for it and found my driving licence:jWas just about to post the form applying for a new one, so that has saved me £20. :jBut I want my ipod. I can't function without it *cries* If I don't find it within the week I will have to get a new one *sulks*

Still I wouldn't actually date anyone at the moment. I am over weight and really don't have any nice clothes that I could meet men in. I would turn someone down right now and in fact have not gone out on dates with bF's or seen my friends cos I don't have anything to wear - its a BIG problem.

Do you know I have never worn a mini skirt?

Any way I am not much further with my plan but at the moment I am thinking more about what is holding me back.

I am away to make some lists and add to my 100 things - remember that ladies? xxxxxx

Buffy, I feel exactly the same, I have nice clothes but none of them hide the fact that I need to lose lots of weight. :o If someone did ask me out I would have absolutely nothing appropriate to wear. I know the solution is to lse weight but I lose heart very quickly with anything that doesn't have instant results.

I am still doing my 100 list, will update at the end of June as have done a few more things but not sure I will get the full 100 done by the end of the year.

Thanks eco, I was did have a drink after using it and then started to look for it, it was on my bed earlier in the day so I decided to leave it and look properly in the morning. It's not on the floor, in or under the bed, in the bin bags, on dressing table or bedside table, I always keep it next to the bed in its box and I dont know where it could have got too. It's a shuffle so it's very small and I could easily misplace it so I am very careful to leave it in the same place. Grrrrrrr.

Well, at least it wasn't too expensive, so not going to cost a fortune to replace but it's the nuisance of having to set it up again, getting my ipod to work and downloading all the apple software was one of the most infuriating and stressful experiences of my life. icon8.gif

  • I sometimes wonder if it's just a better tactic to be happy with what we have fat, thin, wonderfully clothed or not. I can't speak for others but I feel far more attracted to someone who is happy, overweight, and no real fashion sense than someone who has the stereotype of the ideal figure, dressed beautifully, but is unhappy (possibly, in part, because of the image they think they need to project).
I can honestly tell you that far and away the worst relationship I've ever been in was with someone who looked totally, stereotypically beautiful on the outside but turned out to be........... well I won't go there but some of you may recall me writing a while back about a stalker that pushed me to the edge of a mental health problem some years ago.
Apart from that, a lot of guys feel intimidated if a woman seems too perfect and won't ask them out anyway. As I've got older I no longer feel intimidated by someone's looks as I've come to realise that we are all just people underneath with our desires, dreams, successes, failures, and insecurities.
PS. I often sit down when I pee in case I miss. If I do miss, I wipe it up.

Hehe, I'm amazed that it's taken so long for me to be mistaken for a woman as this thread is almost entirely female :D

Oh I've sorted out the problem with going to a different ex's fashion show... I'm not going. Her parents and grandparents are going to be there and that will ruin it for me as they never approved of me because I was too musclebound and blokish for their "perfect" daughter... I was fine to protect her on nights out and look after her but once we became romantically involved they hated me.

I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.

You think you've got problems? At first I was referred to as Paula a couple of times. :D

Sounds remarkably sensible to me. My skin is what upsets me rather than my figure, but I have actually met boyfriends when it's been really bad and I've gone out anyway - I think probably because I wasn't expecting to attract anyone I was more relaxed, and they knew that being with my friends and having a general good time is more important to me than my looks.

I'm much more bothered about whether a guy is interesting and attractive to me, than whether he's conventionally good looking or well dressed. Somehow it's very easy to become convinced that we will be judged much more harshly than we actually judge others. (Well, than I judge people - but then I am an incurable hippy :D )

    Hi

How was everybody's bank holiday? Good? At least the sun was out yesterday.

You'll have to excuse me, I'm having a bit (lot) of a mope. Gavin just called and basically I am dumped. To be fair we had a bit of a disagreement on the phone this morning and I was expecting it, but then it happened. It's fair to say I'm a bit gutted. I've eaten a whole bag of Cadbury's chocolate raisins and that was just when I was waiting for the call, now I might see what else I've got...sorry, not in the best frame of mind, I'll hopefully be back later feeling a bit cheerier (or I'll have cracked open the vodka).

    Gwen, :grouphug::grouphug: and :EasterBunfor you

    *hunts for vodka smiley*

Better to mope here than on your own (I'll be around in between revision chapters and I'm sure others will be about later, so feel free to moan!)
