    Hello ladies :D

I've been very very slack for the last week or so. I'm waiting on my expenses so I can buy my plane ticket home.

I've reached a point with food shopping that I have plenty of food in my freezer and fridge but nothing I want to eat because it's all healthy stuff :( I'm gagging for a proper british fry up!

I'm also being all depressed because I still can't get a girl. Though there is a checkout girl at the local supermarket who totally checks me out haha! Unfortunately since I realised this I haven't been able to chat to her as her till always has a queue while two others dont... it'd be way too suspicious to line up at her till and refuse to go to an empty one.

Hey all, hope you've had a good week!

Feeling a bit miffed at the minute- been really good spending-wise this week, even managed a few NSD's! But I just checked my online banking and found out that a miscalculation on my part has made me go past my overdraft limit!

They gave me a reserve but I'll still get a charge next month, and I'm really annoyed with myself now!

I had to go for a medical yesterday, so I have been a fine stress bunny leading up to it all week. Added to which, I was 45 minutes late going in, which made me scarlet of face and reduced to virtual whimpering by the time I wandered down to the examination room. The lovely doctor ended up squeezing my shoulder and telling me "please don't worry so much", which was great.

Hope everything went okay despite the dramas, hopefully the stress has eased now you have got over that hurdle. If you can cope with more medical intervertion Dr Sarah prescribes a large glass of wine or two with a box of chocs to hand. Can write repeat prescriptions if necessary. :D

TDQO. Get in that queue immediately. That is an order. Report back.

That's a fine prescription, thanks, Dr Sarah :A :D and I will certainly request a repeat. I'm feeling much better now; it was nice to wake up after 7am today rather than at 3.21am which I seem to achieve with monotonous regularity.

Now TDQO, you need some tactics. Find an aisle near her checkout (preferably containing something that is not too embarassing - you don't want her to think you are obsessed with loo roll), loiter looking at the goods, then move once she no longer has a queue. Mission accomplished?

I had a horrible thought earlier today ladies. I read Lula's post then I realised i needed beer so prepared to go to the supermarket. Then I started to think about what I'd say to this girl along the lines of "got any plans for the weekend" etc etc and I started to panic.
Like properly panic. I was all like "i'm not ready for this" "I can't handle this, it's too soon"

I have NEVER ever been like that before! It's been 11 months since I split this laura and I'm going on with carp like that in my head??

    What's wrong with me?

You could always try what I call the Dr Pepper routine - "What's the worst that could happen?" You could have a nice, friendly chat with her and she could either offer to show this nice English guy around ;), tell you to have a nice weekend :D, or let you know that she's off to the beach with her boyfriend . If any or all of those options would be fine by you, then see how you feel when you're there. After all, you could always need some more shopping later this weekend...

Don't forget that you have a lot of things going on at the moment. You're in a relatively strange place (fab though it may be), you had to wait a while to get your home sorted, you're away from friends and family and money is a bit tight. All of those things rock the boat a bit, no matter how great the job and the location may be, so the occasional wobblies are completely understandable. My mum worked in Australia for a couple of years, and although she absolutely loved it, she still found it quite difficult at times.

Take it at whatever pace feels right for you, eh? And good luck if you decide to go for it...;)

Erm, one of two things :

1 - you've been hanging around this thread so long you're turning into a neurotic girl like the rest of us  ( watch out for sudden shoe buying urges) or ...

2- You're a really sweet, lovely, wonderful, fabulous guy who hasnt dated in a while so is feeling slightly out of practice as well as a long way from home where things are done a bit differently maybe.

I totally second, uphold & agree with Hollyberry's Dr. Pepper approach & also second sarah's order ...

Go. Now. Report back to The Mothership ASAP :D

Good luck & remember that you are F fabulous :kisses3:
