  • personally Pink I'd use the CC and set a deadline to pay it back by - really "skint" myself to pay it off quickly then have it add to the mortgage for a longer period??

Yeah, if I just live very cheaply in July then I'll have 5 weeks salary (depending on when I'm paid) and can pay it back then.

It can't cost any more than £700 surely? I can take £350 off Lloyds, £250 off Abbey, £300 from what's left after bills and £100 out of the terramundi. That's £1000. Plus put petrol and food on the Barclaycard for the month and live on beans. Then pay off £1500 in June.

Yep, better than racking up more interest on the mortgage. It's expensive enough as it is!

    Thanks xx

Hey Jake, hey Yargo  & hey Buffy who posted while I was still typing & thanks hon :A

I've not been posting as I'm a moany old cow at the moment & I see my role here to bring joy, laughter & support not misery & negative vibes, man  & right now there's a hole in my shoe & it's letting in water :(

I've always believed that if one cant think of anything nice to say then one shouldnt say anything  no big deal, just the usual girlie grumps so I'll get over it.

By the way I've eaten 2 donuts & scoffaliciously close to finishing a bag of fruit & nuts :o

I'm here and still single ..... saw Duplicity last night with Clive Owen - although am sworn to celibacy at moment, would probably give it up for a boyfriend-a-like of Clive Owen....

    Re: Spa questions...

I went to Formby Hall & Golf Resort which is near Southport. We got a special offer which was £79 pp for dinner, one night in hotel, use of spa facilities and one treatment plus breakfast next morning.

I thought was very good value. I found the deal on the Travelzoo email which is a good weekly email with travel bargains but it was direct with the hotel. They often have offers on, sometimes direct or else via Lastminute.com so worth looking out for.

The 2-for-1's worked out well last night, cost about £17 for dinner and the cinema together so was pretty pleased with that. Was stuffed as well - on garlic bread and pasta so not super healthy sadly! Although Pizza Express have fancy new low fat pizza with middle cut out and filled with salad! My friend had one and did look very nice indeed.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Hey Lula

    Hope you feel better soon.

Clearly in such a shoe emergency as this there is only one option.....get yourself to Office/ Faith / Top Shop / Barratts /Nine West / *delete as applicable immediately and rectify this.

Martin wouldn't want you clumping around in squelchy shoes now.
