did you watch the garage fit them to the car? im asking because there may be a chance that your original wheels were tight to come off, they may have had to hit them hard to come off, this in turn might have knackered a wheel bearing or damaged a brake disc. or maybe its just a sticking caliper.
Nah mate i didnt. I went to town for an hour and came back and they were fitted...I had my music and tomtom on the way back so didnt hear them till after the garage was closed. It deffo sounds like a grinding and it isnt accelerating very smoothly!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

there shouldnt be one on the focus, mine certainly doesnt have them....work permit granted!0 -
Is there a chance a dodgy tyre could make this sound?"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

i doubt a tyre would make a grinding noise.
stick the jack under it and spin the front wheels to see where its coming from man!...work permit granted!0 -
in the last pic it looks like there has been some contact with the caliper as per 2 colours on the caliper,
take the wheel pictured off and look on the inside of it for any signIMOJACAR

wheel nuts look a bit strange..have you fitted 4 lockers per wheel?0

Only just got back so its too late to do it now.
I am going to see my mechanic on friday lunch time so i will just wait until then. I just dont wanna take the wheel off and make things worse...its only a day or so's wait."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

Yes there are 4 tuner nuts per wheel. The wheels are 8 holed multifits so either 4 x 100 or 4 x 108(mine)."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

where are the old wheels, can you put them back on, i certainly wouldnt drive a car like that0

Right I realise what the problem could be:
I have seen other MK1 focuses with these alloys and it looks as if the tuner nuts have been fitted to the wrong holes...mine have been fitted to the eye shaped holes and looking at other focuses the bolts have been fitted to the circular ones!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
