Change of plans for me.... I was going to stay over, BUT we've just had a repair bill of £400+ for the car (shock absorber problems and new tires plus more besides :mad: ) which we don't have in cash so it's got to go on the credit card which means lack of money all round So one of two things will be happening, either I'll convince OH that a day trip to Blackpool for him and DD would be great fun and I'll go along for the ride and then we can leave altogether late on after I've met up with you lot OR I won't be going at all. This bill (and subsequent credit card bills) has scuppered all my plans for the house and everything.... now to go find that thread with squarefoot gardening in it... :silenced:

Oh nicki - please come... Bring OH and DD too, the more the merrier. Is Johanne coming with you - perhaps she can share your fuel costs?

I am actually considering staying over two nights now, cos the overnight coach at 10pm on Saturday will leave me knackered on Sunday. But it's hard for me, I'd be forsaking paid choir work on Sunday morning and also my usual deputy isn't available I hardly ever take a day off choir so don't have a lengthy list of alternatives like the other singers do.

I think at the moment my itinerary looks like this: come up on Friday in JackieO's car, stay over Friday night, then have an OS Social Saturday and an evening meal with you guys before catching my bus back to London at 10pm. It gets into Victoria at about 6:30am, and while I don't usually see that time on a Sunday morning, I can find somewhere to sell me a bacon sarnie, then go for a long bracing walk in Hyde Park before choir practice.

JackieO, thanks for your PM, I'll get back to you this evening about your offer of a lift. It does sound like a nice idea to have some company on the way there

I've just asked about a lift and also looked at coming by coach. If I came by coach would anyone be able to pick me up from the coach station?

I'm sure there won't be any problems with getting picked up from the coach/train stations. There will be enough of us with cars to help out I'm sure.

I know this is a bit premature but will there be an itinerary, or at least a meeting place/time? I won't be staying over as I live about 20 miles away from Blackpool but I'd still love to come and meet everyone. Besides, I don't want to feel left out cos it will be the talk of the forum for ages afterwards and I want to understand what people are on about!

Anyway, I will need to know what time people will be meeting up, and where etc. so I can meet up too. I hope you won't all be bringing OH's. I'll be on my own, feeling like I'm on a blind date with about 20 people. I know you aren't scary people and we all kind of know each other but it will be a bit weird. Am I on my own feeling like this?

I know how you feel Chickadee but im on my own (no other OH coming) and i know at least 2 others who are coming alone too so i think you will find that all you are worrying about, everyone else is too:o i guess its up to us to put an agenda together depending on when we are getting there etc. Let me know what time you plan to arrive and i will meet you:j
