We haven't got a Poundland and I did the biggest dumbass thing any dumbass could possibly do today! :o

I experimented with my brand new Senseo and put a spoonful of filter cofffee in the pouch holder to see if it would work!! :o it clogged up everything and I couldn't even open it afterwards for ages, it felt like it was superglued down! :o And then took me an hour to clean it all up and get it working again :o

Lesson learned, ration the pouches and buy them when they're on offer in Tesco :rotfl:

That's the type of thing I would have done LOL

If I see them on offer somewhere I'll let you know cos I'm looking for some for my Dad now to go with the machine Munchkim won for him xxx

Thanks PMS, definitely look out for offers please, although it would have to be Somerfield, Tesco or Co-op as that's all I have in Ryde, and Gem, by the time I've posted you money and covered your postage etc it would probably be more than buying it here lol, but thank you hunny, you are very kind xxx
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

I was reading the GHD thread on here a short while ago and many people state that the babyliss 230 is just as good if that helps.
    Thank you all who post.

Thanks Nicky glad it's not just me, I mean over £50 just for the main meals is a LOT IMO. DH trying to sort something out with his Mum cos his Grandma not well & next year we'll be away for her birthday so want to do something nice but not that kind of price.

hmmm - who decided where to go for this meal? OH or grandma....? Could you come up with a cheaper alternative, or combine Mother's Day, Easter and birthday meals and just go out the once.....?

Or if Grandma's not very well how about preparing a birthday tea for her instead......

If all else fails, one of the kids will have to go down with 'tummy bug' and be too ill to go for the meal.....:rotfl:
