  • P.S we don't go out for meals much & have cut down a LOT over the last 12 months but always try make an effort for birthdays etc which usually isn't too expensive cos we do joint things when some are close together.

  • None of us drive so no-one to pick her up, she wants it just close family so me, DH, the girls & MIL (her daughter) & if we ask another family member to pick her up it means inviting them too which she doesn't want. I do understand her wanting to go out cos she hardly ever goes out FULL STOP never mind for meals etc but just don't agree with her choice this year we've never been there before & from what both DH & MIL agree on it's just too expensive.

great.. I've just burst into tears..
the OH went back to London from work today, and I don't get to see him until a week Saturday, and it suddenly dawned on me that, in 2 months, we will no longer be working together. We've worked together ever since I joined the company, but it took over 3 years for us to get together for various reasons. I was going to leave just before we got together, and he persuaded me to hold out a little bit longer. 14 months later and I'm still there, and now he's going.. and I don't know if I want to stay there any longer. Sure, it's not a terrible job, it's not bad pay and its fairly relaxed and most of the workies are lovely, but I don't think I want to do what the company is progressing to next. If I'm honest, I want to be a professional photographer but that's really hard to get into when you have no contacts like I do..

so yes, I'm a little upset this evening, despite cheering up earlier on. hmm. I've just had my Skinny Cow sample to try and it calmed me down a little bit, but I can see the next 2 months being really hard and painful. Sure, him taking this will mean he's down here a lot more than he currently is, but not seeing him during the day is a weird thought.. decisions decision.

oh how love changes things.. :o sorry for rambling on everyone, I just know there are so many wise and lovely people in here, I feel I don't have to hide or not be me :o

I understand Gemma - I work (& live) with my OH and, as he works in IT, he set up IM on my PC so we could instant message each other during the day! Sad but true.
    Thank you all who post.

aww gemma - just wait & see what working without him is like. I use to work in the same place as Dh when we first got together then he got another job - granted it wasnt the same but i found we made more of our time together.
