I have a "question" for the "Regulars" ....
With all these lovely newcomers .... do you think newbies should donate virtual Tea & Cake to us:rotfl: Maybe we should also ALL do that on our B-Days ?

mmmmm cake, one of the positive side effects of prozac is that it made me not want to eat so have lost another half a stone with no effort, so I may feel like crap but at least I'm thin and miserable lol0 -
Mabel - sorry you're also feeling icky :heartsmilhaha i like it angel, bring on the cake, might not hit my hips being virtual, so whos birthdays first?
Well.... I do seem to recall reading that there are a few who will be enjoying a special day shortly ...
Umm, would now be a good time to hide :rotfl: And have you noticed that it's gone very quite on the thread all of a sudden

I'm dill buthy beinck ill... *sniffle* anyone fancy dropping of cake here will be more than welcome!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Horace - I didn't even know The Damned are still together. Used to quite like them back in my misguided youth - although i only went through the goth stage for a year or so before i discovered Ska and went all mod! Tried introducing my son to all this and he tried to look interested but although he understands the concept of retro, he can't stand it in practise! Good luck getting the gig. your band must be pretty impressed with what you have acheived so far.
I have spent to morning in town at the library and at the bank. Now I have to do some work I have my usual end of month rush on but nothihg I can't handle - for now...0 -
JP - sorry to hear about your hospital drama. I would put it down to all the family stress you have been under. Just relax and let it go until after the weekend. start fresh on monday and see how you go.0

Ohh sounds like tea and cakes are needed. *runs off to find cakes*
 hello newbies, ((hugs)) to the regulars who need them.
Its been one of those weeks where there just isn't enough hours in a day and yesterday we were told due to the force 10 gale that was coming the electric was going to be off all evening so was working like a lunatic to get everything done and of course the power stayed on
To answer MrsT (I think) I work in the tailoring/fashion industry. Sounds more glamorous than it is lol.
Have a good day all x0 -
Ta Da :bdaycake::EasterBun:
Here's some virtual cake and chocolate to be going on with as my birthday is on Sunday:cool:
Nipped to the post office this morning to collect a package that had been delivered on 12 November - the postman laughed at the nickname Flashwombat on the side of the box:D BzzAgent who have never sent me anything and have only ever sent one questionnaire have sent me a box of that new colgate toothpaste that is advertised on the telly - there is a full size tube for me and 10 sample tubes each with 50p vouchers:cool: Now I don't have sensitive teeth as I use the cheapo Dentalux Herbal stuff from Lidl that costs me 75p - there is no way that I will pay £3.49 for a tube of flippin' toothpaste. Went to bank to pick up my new debit card and they got a bit antsy as they wanted my passport so I said if they read the letter that I handed to them they will see that I need to hand over my current debit card as proof of ID - so I had to stand there in the bank and tell them where the weekly payments into my bank account come from, how much money I paid in on Monday, which shop I used my card in so I said that I couldnt remember (I got a funny look for that)..they eventually handed over my card - remind me never to go into the HSBC in Northfield ever again, I will stick with the branch in Rubery:D Not that I bank with HSBC anyway - I bank with First Direct.
JP - have plenty of rest and get yourself right for the fair at the weekend - ignore FIL as he is a complete twonk - if he calls, gently put the phone down. Well done you on networking on your way into the ambulance:rotfl:
Angel - get on with your work..I can see you popping in and out using your delaying tactics..get on with it woman:D I can't bottle what I have because I don't know how - I just am who I am:D
MrsT - sorry you are full of cold so take flat shoes tomorrow and sniff and sneeze your way round..passing your germs onto everybody else:cool:
Naija - welcome back, try and join in more if you can.
Megs - I havent got the gig yet..but I have done everything that I can to secure it so hopefully Captain Sensible will hear and agree and book them (he can contact them directly as their details are on myspace - or he can phone me). Did a naughty thing today - I contacted Andy Copping via Twitter - he is the chap that books all the bands for the Download festival - I got his Twitter account from a guy at Classic Rock magazine and have been following him for a while now before pouncing with my question:rotfl: I love music - I grew up with it..firstly with my grandfather who was a piano teacher then my parents managed an R&B band in the early 70's. Ska is fab..I used to know the bass player from The Selector and roadied for UB40 before they became famous.
Mabel - being anxious and depressed isnt nice - I was driven there by my old boss (what a stupid twonk he was) although thankfully I resisted the doctor's advice to put me on anti-depressants, I was once given Seroxat and one tablet made me feel horrendous and made my symptoms worse so I chucked them. I was always being told to pull myself together which is kind of hard when you feel as though you are unravelling. It takes time but you do get better.
I might pop back later..but won't be around tomorrow just so you don't get worried - won't be back til Monday.0 -
Do you know how to re-load the pictures (ie if you needed to replace one picture with another)?
If so then have a look at the original picture file - if you double click on it it shoudl open in windows photo gallery. Look on the right side - it should tell you the file size and the size (something like 700x700 could be bigger could be smaller) and post on here what the size is. That way I can see if it's easiest to show you how to shrick the image or if I have to try and remember how to lower the resolution lol
Yes, I put all the content on the site, so I can re-load them if I manage to change them! I didn't have chance to look at the pictures last night, wasn't feeling too good, but I will have a look this eve. Thanks for your help so far.
JP, what a nightmare, panic attacks are not nice, hope your're feeling better soon. I think you're right to try and save your energy for the fair that cost you the most, plus there'll be more people, so more potential sales.
Mabel, sorry to see that your not feeling so good either. Hope you're feeling better soon.
This is probably a random / stupid question, but can you still get change from the bank?much work to be done - new sig coming soon...0
