Horace- thanks for the info on the magazine company - as it turns out my bro in law has a really good friend who has a printers that has been round for years and hsa done the likes of Thomsons brochures and after all the quotes I have had he has quoted an excellent price and better quality stock too -so if anyone needs a really good printer with good prices try and ask for Steve (tell him Zoe recommended him www.jasprint.com (btw I wont get any commission or anything for recommending just thought I would pass the details and hopefully save you some cash!).
JP- glad ur site is finally up and running- will have a look later- good luck with everything.

wohoooooo im live at long last im live, yipeeeeee
set as homepage now, be gentle with me, thats on no budget lol
Nice site - well done
FWIW - consider adding images of your items from different angles, that can also be enlarged if possible to give a really good feel for them, perhaps even video to capture that 'sparkle' because they're lovely.
I've gone very quiet with no therapy clients this week (which is a bit worrying) yet have been very busy working on the systems/lit/IT for salon owner. I also have got quite a bit of time booked in Dec with promotions within the salon so hopefully more prospective therapy clients.
Hope everyone else is well

Jpw - your webpage is lovely. It looks really classy - you've done a brilliant job.
Nappentass - hope your promotions go well. It's hard when you have a quiet week - I always try and just enjoy the week off but it never happens!
I can't work today as my son is back at school and there's a high chance i'll be phoned up to go and collect him. Rather than waste today i'm going to complete one of the courses that I need to do assignments for. That's the plan.
Hope you all have a busy and profitable day xx0 -

Bother...I just reported this as spam:eek: (moderators, please make the reply button bigger than the spam button and put the spam button underneath the reply button and not the other way round:rolleyes:).
Can't stop as am off out for lunch in a bit but just wanted you to know I may have got a gig for the band for £150 and managed to tap a really expensive lawyer for some free advice on management contracts:j
Will catch up when I get back from lunch.0 -
JP just had alook at your website - it looks lovely. I have to say your prices seem quite cheap - especially the clips. I know how long these things take to make so i expected a bit more. The favours also see reall cheap at 1.50 each or less. bargain... Are these prices standard across other suppliers?
Of course (as a website content writer...)I would also suggest a bit more despription of each item and perhaps a page which shows us who makes all these lovely things, who you are and what you do.
Makes me wish i had a wedding to organise...but I do have a ten year wedding anniversry coming up - does that count?0 -
JP, the site looks fab!!! I love the colours you've used, and I agree with the others, I think you should maybe be charging a bit more, but I also can see that keeping your price down will generate more business. Well done.
Horace, I'm not able to go to Belfast tomorrow, but I am going to go the next week. My new girl started today and she is great but I don't want to leave her on her own just yet.
Quiet yesterday, busy this morning - thankfully - but i have discovered that changing banks is one of the worst things I have ever done for the business. Its taking cheques 5 days to clear instead of the usual 3 which is badly affecting my cash flow. Am going to try ebay again with a few bits and pieces that I have lingering in the shop.
As for the tooth issue.... I have lost 2.... no children (but a stepson) so there must be no hope for me!0 -
hi all, thanks for the positive comments. i just worked the prices out on what it cost me to make and then what i thought was fair, maybe ill have to look at putting the costs up abit, i just wanted to be sure people would buy them. the favours are priced as ill be selling them at my fairs, i just thought meybe much more would put people of, ive looked at other peoples sites and prices vary alot some are very expensive, while others are to cheap, but at the risk of sounding vain not as good as mine, so i thought id go in the middle for the time being.
i havent seen the hot chocolate favours sold anyere else as they are usually sold as snowman soup at christmas i just put a twist on them for my brothers wedding nd they went down really well.
I still have some details to put on, the bit about me scares me lol, not sure i take a good picture so dont want to scare people of with my ugly mug lol. ill have to try and get a professional picture.
TCM i wish mine was ony 2 teeth, i had an accident when i was 12 that wrecked my teeth so now they fall out at nothing, my front ones are capped and have lost to many back ones, slowly saying goodbye to eating steak lolback to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
JP - I still need to look at your website but you need to think of your pricing - when I was making jewellery back in the 1980's I was always advised to put a 500% mark up on it. If your prices are too cheap then folks will think that you sell rubbish like Claire's Accessories.
TCM - 4N breakfast meetings are usually fortnightly although the Irish one maybe different as its the only one on 'foreign' soil. I am glad your new person started though, that's a blessed relief and it means that OH less likely to be poking his nose in.
I had an unexpected lunch with one of my dearest friends today - she has a new car not a Freelander but a Discovery this time - we had to laugh because the seats raise and lower so to get in she lowered the seat and we were giggling saying "going down to lingerie and haberdashery". Its a jolly nice car and I wish that I had £27K to buy one:rolleyes:
I am now getting stuck into this fun run next year..looking for a company to sponsor the water and the goody bags. I am going to ask the powers that be if I will be allowed to post a link so that people can register for the run.0
