Hi everyone..
Welcome to the forum Martin..
Now.. I'm having one of those days - but it can only get better!! Whilst I was procrastinating I came across this freelance work for 'writers'
It looks like educational writing etc.. It was on the workingmums site.

Not sure if it's any good for anyone but I thought I'd pop the link here anyway..
My site is so near to completion that I'm getting a little bit  because I keep losing my internet connection today for some bizarre reason..
Hopefully it wont keep happening and I'll be able to officially go live!! :T
Hope everyone else is having a good day!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, girls. I've never been so popular with the ladies...:o
I write for the official club website for Yeovil Town. We're a small League One club getting crowds of around 4,000 - 4,500 every week. I started there writing for the matchday programme doing an article for every programme but now I write three articles for every issue and collate two others. It then developed into administrating the website.
It's great fun because I'm continually trying to improve things.Last year, I got to interview Fat Boy Slim, Paul Scholes, Bob Mills and Ray Stubbs by email while this season I interviewed Des Lynam last week, am doing Graham Poll in two weeks time and hopefully Alison Moyet the week after.
Love my job but just need to earn a little more. Been down there tonight writing the match report from tonight's England v Wales under-16 match that was played there tonight..0 -
morning all! soooo glad its Friday at long last. Its been such a hectic week am looking forward to a quiet weekend.
Today is accounts day oh the fun. Not had time to keep them up to date so really must get that sorted today.
Hope everyone has a nice day0 -
Hi Everyone..
Well Friday's here - where's the week gone?..
After yesteday being not a great day- today has started well. I've been to the Yorkshire Bank, explained my situation and should have a business account opened by Monday. I have to say they have been fantastic - it really helps to be upfront and honest and refreshing to see that its not all done by a computer!
I also have a final interview this afternoon- that will help bring the money in whilst my business grows - so fingers crossed...
My internet kept going down intermitantly yesterday so site progress was a little slower than expected - however nearly there and once the bank account is sorted I can then have my official launch and direct payments into the correct bank account.
Hope everyone has a good day..

Well done with getting somewhere with Yorkshire Bank Snow, sounds like everything is really coming together for your business.
I've got as official an ok as I'm going to get until the paperwork is signed, I'm going to give my notice later on today then start getting things together for packing as I imagine 2 weeks will go pretty quickly if I do nothing!
I have a quite for refuse collection of £10 per week including VAT, I have someone coming to see me shortly about a food contract. I need to look at sanitary waste and pest control and get figures for them. I also need to make some enquiries about getting a rate reduction with us being a new business, from what I've read it's unlikely. The current owner has an appeal in but that isn't going to be heard until December and at £600 per week we need as much help as possible0 -
Hiya
Welcome to all the new people on the thread. I've been missing a while as my DS had been very poorly. It looks like he's on the mend now...fingers crossed. So, I need to start working again as I've had to cancel people for the last three weeks. Thank goodness I have understanding clients!!
Lexxi - hope the following two weeks are stress free for you and the new business goes well.

Oi..I heard that - I arrived home today:rolleyes:
I arrived at airport on Sunday (last week) and was sitting on the massage chairs so that I could read one of 4 books bought in Smiths at the airport - I couldnt check in til 2.30am:eek: - well at 11pm this bloke appeared, he was rather tasty and his name was Steve - so he and I had a good chat and although its not allowed we looked after each others bags whilst we went to the loo:eek: Before Steve I got chatted up by a chap called Ron Clark - Ron is a photographer on the World Superbike Circuit and lives on the Isle of Man so we got talking and before he left to catch his coach to Luton airport he gave me 3 photographs to give to my dad:cool: Later on...Steve appeared, then a bloke called Joe appeared and we each sat on these massage chairs and chatted - none of us able to sleep.
Upshot was Steve suggested that I email him on my return as he wanted to keep in touch (he even kissed me on the cheek as we waited to board our flights - our gates being next to each other..he was gorgeous.
Got met at airport - got bus to Alicante then bus to flat..had a nap for an hour and then headed for the beach...hit the beach every day except Thursday and yesterday. Thursday I toddled off to the local market and bought a nice leather purse and then wandered back to the square (there were workmen in the flat so I couldnt go back there). Well...it got a bit hairy as these blokes appeared and started fighting..well one got pushed over and a gun skittered across the floor and ended up close to my feet..I decided there and then to move and headed back to the market looking for the policeman that I had seen earlier..couldnt find him and then went back to the square and sat in the full sun with my book for half an hour...met friend and then went shopping. Friday - it lashed down with rain all day and my waterproof was hopeless and I was just as wet inside it as out..we went shopping for paint, had lunch out mine was spoilt slightly as they piled fish on top of the salad (I had veal chop) Got up early, got bus to bus station had coffee and cake, bought a bottle of orange..(friend came) got bus to airport - friend having to stay til Friday as work needs doing on the flat (repairs after upstairs loo spewed sewage out and it seeped through the floor into the bathroom:mad:) Friend paid for bus to airport - I checked in went through the flippin area where they check your bags and had forgotten the orange so my whole bag was tipped out - they refused to allow me to drink it and even confiscated my lovely sun lotion:mad:
Plane arrived 20 mins early and we had a faff around on the tarmac after the steps and bus didnt appear then the electrical system refused to work so they couldnt open the doors..had to queue to get back into the UK..got the monorail to the NEC got the train to New Street and then another train home:rolleyes:
Not much to report really other than I read 2 books and have nearly finished a third:j0
