woot grats Mudbath!
Horace: dont worry, sounds like what one of my teachers told me when i was bout 8 about my messy handwriting, I was worrying that it was all spider like. My teacher told me that I was cos I was thinking so far ahead and so much was trying to come out of my brain that my hand couldnt keep up..
Knowing you Horace its prolly the same with your typing, you keep missing out words cos theres so much stuff in there waiting to tumble out!0 -
I HAVE FINISHED THE ASSIGNMENT THAT HAS BEEN HANGING OVER MY HEAD FOR MONTHS!!!! Well, i've done it and emailed it to the tutor for any last minute changes. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Next one tomorrow!
Horace - the list of prizes sounds great. The only thing i'd say - as someone who knows nothing - would people entering know what 'on the day co-ordinatioin was' and would they have to add money to this to get the full package? Do I make sense? Probably not!
I have written on my list of prizes what on the day co-ordination entails - basically its a handover of all their suppliers etc 2 weeks before the wedding then I confirm everything and am there on the day to arrange it all and make sure the suppliers do as they have been instructed to do. There is no way I can afford to give a way a full wedding which starts at £2K:eek:
I am also preparing some sheets with details of my services so that people can take them away with them.
I was thinking that stressy brides would like the manicure and their h2b could probably do with a facial - I was trying to find something that they would both enjoy and both take 45 minutes, the men's facial is using phytomer which is a marine based range of creams. I think the double treatment room which is quite sumptuous will go down quite well.
Star - my handwriting was the same...I would miss words out and things would come out jumbled because my brain was racing ahead quicker than my pen could write and it is much the same with typing these days.
Well done on finishing your assignment.:j0 -
ohh i don't know how you pair work with brides. I've finally finished an order for one and its made me never want to work with brides again. That's twice now, at the start they're so nice and excited and everythings going great then its like 4 weeks before the wedding and a switch is flipped and they turn into frankenbride!
anyway, well done on finishing your assigment mudbath :j and everyone else! good to hear lots of exciting things going on.0 -
Horace - those prizes sound really good! Remind me when the event is - my brain is like a sieve with this studying!!0
-
Muddy - the event is on Sunday 27 September.
Purple - brides can be horrendous, we call them bridezillas in the trade. My best mate turned into one and whereas I would normally grit my teeth and say nowt I told my chum where to get off which brought her up short she has since apologised for her appalling behaviour:rolleyes:
I have spent the morning trying to get a grant for my business only there aren't any to be had and if there are, they are not for start ups with no money who want a computer, guess I shall have to think of something else, I don't want to use my credit card and don't want to break into my savings so I shall make do with what I have and do without a proper database as there isnt enough memory on my laptop to take the software. All I can say is - businesslink is a waste of time.
The weather is a bit grim today - its cloudy and cold and once again I don't feel like doing any work:rolleyes:0 -
Horace: You might be able to upgrade/ buy new RAM for your laptop if thats the problem.. would prolly cost about 50 quid0
-
My laptop is old Star...still I do need a new computer of the tower variety but it will wait until I start earning, in the meantime I shall rely on my card index box and my memory:D
I was feeling low this morning and thought that it might have something to do with the weather but whilst sitting eating my lunch watching my usual afternoon soaps (neighbours and home & away - mainly for the sunshine) that I suddenly felt all wierd as though something was attacking me from the inside and since then I have been freezing cold and am sitting here with a jumper that has been zipped up to the neck and a thick fleece on top of that and I am still cold:eek: I can't afford to be ill:rolleyes:
Just had an email from Brad Sugars of Action Coach fame pointing me in the direction of his website for his free e-books only to access them I need to recommend a friend although that friend will be able to access the free e-books if they refer a friend. He is a brilliant business coach and understands that start ups like me can't afford the big bucks to pay one of his coaches. So if some of you get an email from him then you know that I have mentioned you so that I can access these free e-books. I can't wait to see Brad when he comes to Worcester on 7 October (its a pity he's married with kids because he is gorgeous:D).
One of the folks (the poor man is called Sylvester and whenever I hear that name I think of Sylvester the Cat!) that has been helped by an action coach contacted me today and stated how his action coach had helped him so I emailed back and said that I cannot afford the services of a coach just yet as I had just started out then the guy contacted me again to ask if I knew of any shoe repairers in Wunnemera (somewhere in Oz) who wanted a job as they were recruiting - well I am afraid to say I had to ask what a shoe repairer was because they are very few and far between in my locality LOL:rotfl:
I think I have a lurgy because I haven't been sleeping properly - I seem to be woken at around 2.30am and then it takes me an age to get back to sleep, now I don't know if its the cabby next door getting home from work or if it is one of the girls upstairs getting ready for work:rolleyes:
Hope you are all having a wonderful day - I need to go to the spa and sweat it out in the sauna - in fact I might just do that tomorrow.0 -
