Wow - sounds great. Damn, now I am hungry!0 -
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.Welcome Emski - have you thought about applying for working tax credits, its not much but better than nowt. If you got them then you would work on your business for a while without having to think about the depressing temp job.0

Nicki - your jewellery sounds lovely. Do you have a website you can put in your profile so we can see some of them?
I've had another email asking about gift vouchers so i've replied. Fingers crossed she buys one!
Full day working tomorrow with the children back at school. I'm not half going to miss them!! Need to get myself organised again as things always slip during the holidays. So, my aim is to do at least an hours paperwork as well as work. That's the plan!

Ooooh that sounds cool!!! I make wedding jewellery but yours sounds so much more exciting (and yummy!)
Hope you get that voucher sale Mudbath-fingers crossed0 -
Welcome Niki - your jewellery sounds fab. One of my friends was trying to persuade me to get involved but using real sweets but basically I think she wanted me to do the work and her to reap the benefits:rolleyes:
Mudbath - fingers crossed for the voucher sale.
Emski - have you looked at mystery shopping? Some people seem to earn loads from it, I do it but don't get paid for what I buy and just get a £10 reward but that reward goes straight into my business account to pay for my insurances.
Mabel - I didnt want to shrink in the rain, so I will wander to the post office tomorrow with a packege (a wodge) of leaflets to send to you:D0 -
Hiya
I've done my first client of the day, ordered a diary for 2010 as people are starting to ask for appointments in January - mad! I've also done first clients paperwork and sorted my clinic. Need to do some more paperwork after next client. Hope you're all quiet because you're working hard!
Speak later

afternoon. Welcome newbies! great to see new people joining in.
First proper day back, feel the jet lag has gone finally. Had a good chat with a designer I met last week and he's placed a big order wooo! and the lovely shoe maker we worked with sent a pair of the finished shoes wow are they pretty! I'm just very aware that i have £450 shoes on!
I was able to attend a lecture by fashion insiders who help predict what will be "in fashion"for the next season so lots to think about now as i'm going to a trade fare in Paris in October and the people we saw will be there so need to prove I was listening to them and know what i'm doing. ha!
Anyhoo better get on with some work. Have a good day all!0 -
Purple it sounds as though you had a profitable time out in the States and you're gadding about to Paris too you lucky devil. As for your shoes - I am a teensy bit jealous but I would be putting them on display rather than wearing them:D
I haven't long come back from the post office where I went to post a wodge of leaflets to Mabel (you should get them tomorrow Mabel - I have double wrapped them too). I stopped off at the florist too to complain about my freesias that lasted a day, she offered me a free bunch of carnations but I have enough carnations here to sink a battleship thanks to an offer in Sainsbury's. She has agreed to do me a small arrangement for my stand and it will cost me £8.50 but that will go down as a business expense. I also received my poetry books today - one for me to keep and the other to be used as a prize.
I have just come off the phone to the HMCA as part of my FSB membership - I am interested in their breakdown cover which has no membership fee but will cost me £91.98 for the year but it includes:
homestart, roadside recovery, relief driver (should I be taken ill), hotel accommodation, priority for lone female driver, they will even come and change a tyre although I can do that myself I would rather not:D and there are other benefits besides. They did say that I would get 50% discount if I covered a second car but I have no second car to cover:rolleyes: I actually don't think that this is too bad and would rather get something for my FSB membership.
I have also been blogging as I missed blogging yesterday. Roll on Friday when I shall be pampered and waxed:eek: (it will hurt as it hasnt been done for 2 months:eek:). When I get back on the road I can return to the spa and have my chill out doing not a lot days:D Actually this one day each week that I have does me the world of good and helps my business - its a great place for networking plus I can actually plan on what I am going to do next.
Well best crack on - I need to look at an assignment - I have a cunning plan for it:rotfl:0 -
i'm going to put the shoes on dislay in my shop, never to be worn again.I just wanted to know what it was like to wear designer shoes
States trip was very worthwhile. America is where our biggest clients are so need to try and get out there more often.
Ohh am jealous of your spa day! must be so relaxing!0
