having a morning of despair at the situation today :-(
hope things go well for you on Monday at court... or as well as they can....

Had my own morning of despair today - car no 2 is now listed as uneconomical to repair alongside car no 1! So we need to find some money from somewhere and go car shopping so I can get to interviews and stuff while still not knowing what is happening job wise....

    hi everyone
thanks for posting SH and kissjenn
    thanks for reading everyone else

well todays update: despair is the trend im afraid to say but a small glimmer of good news.
spoke to mortgage co and they have agreed to a mortgage hol till NOV 09 - and then we can go interest only too if we need to. the lady was soooo kind on phone i was nearly in tears. and she was so professional and helpful and sorted me out quickly.
so now i have called into egg and ltsb about loans/cc repayments to get those reduced but have to wait on call backs on monday morning. im fingers crossed for those too. if we can just hang on and survive till OH job situation then good.

bad news though.. court on mnday but OH has been told not to go - not sure who is going but think accountant or lawyer. other directors will not speak to him - fear the worst is to happen and that a law suit is imminent. just feeling of impending doom. sorry to be neg.

ebay storming and have done a good few hundred in the last 2 weeks. and as for spending money.. its amazing how im NOT spending. im using up every bit of food, not buying food. confession time... i went into a 99P shop!!! shock horror. and saw stuff for 99p amazing. 99p can buy a lot. OH has got drs appt for stop smoking on tuesday too ha ha! well they are £5 a packet so who has money for that!

hope things get better. i promise to pop into everyone elses diary - sorry i have neglected you and been selfish but need all my energy and focus with our family at the mo.

hugs to all and have a good weekend!

You and yours are the most important.

My OH has accidently got his company struck off and according the Treasury Website we need to go to court to reinstate...in the interim they keep the contents of his bank account which they also closed and now treat as crown assets. I think if anyone else tried the "you don't look like you're using it so I'll just take it" defence they'd be jailed. Ho hum - wouldn't life be boring if it went according to plan!

And good luck with the Poundshops, I've found you can spend a small fortune in them which is un-mse but you end up with more scented rubbers than you could ever imagine :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thats another bit of good news while you're in turmoil, I'd been on & on at my OH to quit but it didn't work, it was only when we sat down & added up monthly outgoings he realised that he could either smoke or put petrol in the car!!! that was over 2 years ago & he's not looked back (just gained about 2 stone!!)

Hope you get good news on reducing payments to CCs etc

    Hi mrscmr.

I'm a lurker here, been silently rooting for you.

I have some small business experience, and I'm VERY worried about your comment

Who has told your OH not to go to court? Unless it is the company's lawyer who has told him, then he needs to contact the lawyer himself. In his shoes I'd be worried that someone on the board is trying to stitch him up.
As a director he has every right to speak to the lawyer himself, and alone.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

    hi easy
thanks for lurking and posting too.

i have said to OH he must find out what is going on. i hate this silence as it does not bode well in my view. i think that the others are trying to put blame onto him and make him scape goat. i keep on saying we need to speak to a lawyer but he is putting head in sand. how could i find out what our position is bearing in mind its not my company?

Why can't you and OH view the proceedings at the very least? Is the hearing in an open court? I don't see how anyone can stop you going and if you're not there officially he can't be questioned but can see exactly what's being said and by whom.
