    Ladies, I'm touched, thank you.

We're all in this together and imho it's a lot easier to see the options when you're not having to deal with all the emotions too. I'm not good at tea and sympathy much to my shame but I am quite practical - so if I can help with that side then delighted to do so.

I do however wish I had a magic wand which would make it all disappear for you.

Hi MrsC - there should be no living in a caravan - even if the worst happened then surely the council would have to offer you other accommodation?

Hope tomorrow's meeting goes well. I had friends who went thro bankruptcy and to be fair they had a hellish time for a year or two. Then they were back on the up bought a house "with potential" gradually did it up and it was positively beautiful.

Think back to your early married life - I am assuming there were less financial trappings of success then? Was that a positive time? Life is what you make it. You are where you are - you have been trying to improve things in the debt repayment dept - and have made good progress....

Perhaps have a look at the bankruptcy forum if you think that is realistic for you... Alternatively look into the dmp supporters group.... Ask some of your questions there.... There is life after debt... simpler, cleaner, but still life....

    Hi

Just sending you lots of:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: and just letting you know that you will get through this. You just need to stick together and keep talking to each other. Nothing will happen quickly and there is loads of advice out there as long as you ask. Don't panic about it (hard I know) , if it is getting too much try to think of something else for a while or have a cup of tes and if you are worried there's always someone here to talk to.
Don't forget at the end of the day all houses, cars etc are are things which eventually can be replaced. As long as your family is OK that is all that matters.

    Good luck
    Cuddles:rotfl:

Conf call may be a great option.

You can listen in and pass him questions or queries as you think of them (assuming they don't think you're on call).

Do you have a little list of things you want to know? Options available, consequences, costs, timescales etc.

Shove it on speaker phone and you can take comprehensive notes (and potentially record of you want to check up any facts and they're going full speed).
