You'd have to change banks I think.
I'm am in the process of getting one and the guy told me your creditors look more favourably on you if the monthly amount you pay back will pay off the amount owed in 10 years or under as in they are more likely to freeze interest and charges.
    Luckily mine will.
They are really nice people and not intrusive at all.
I'm with CCCS and they seem to carry some weight.

    thanks WOS!

and thanks 'thewad' aka john! much appreciated. the thing is we have a massive asset sitting out in cyprus which when sold will pay everything off. its just selling it that is the problem. the bank wont even take that into account.

personally i feel i am working my socks off to keep everyone happy... ends up me not being happy. "big sigh" "sad face" "heavy heart"

  • Poor mrs cmr, so sorry to hear your latest news

But part of me thinks, maybe is for best as it will all be neater and you may not be continually putting your finger in the dyke (so to speak!) and it may be so much less stressful that it will be worth it? Don't know anything about dmps (lazy, obv could look it up on here :-) ) but will it prejudice your/OH's business interests?

And seems unfair they won't allow time to sell overseas if that would sort it all out - but maybe that means it could be a short lived DMP which will keep everyone happy and off your backs in the meantime?

Anyway, back onto trivia (as "shallow" is actually my middle name) with the asprin face pack you crush some up - think it's about 6 - mix with a very little warm water, rub on face like exfoliator and then leave on for 5 minutes or so, rub again and rinse. And yes, it was in the India Knight book and it is fabulous....and I've not checked yet, but the Sunshine Health tooth bleach, if it's still avail on eBay, is one of the best tenners I've ever spent - in fact am a repeat purchaser, for my "maintenance", it's that good

Sympathies with you on the vomit. I too have a real phobia about it and managed to produce 3xDSs with not one iota of morning sickness, despite feeling it, 'cos I think so strong is my horror I wouldn't let myself be....

Anyway, poor you today all round - and sorry for my many typos in last night's posts, was trying to do many things at once.....

So sorry mrscmr..this is horrible. will keep looking in to check how things are going.

Can you escalate within the bank..maybe you shouldn't put up with this rejection?

As you say its the overseas property that if sold could make this all ok

    no to anything

now we are stuffed. i v upset
What did you ask them for?

Banks are rubbish when you need help anyway so whatever...:D

OK.. A Super SOA is needed here.
OH salary. Is it regular amount (or varies month to month due to bonus etc?) and is it all in one pot?
By that, I mean does it fall into an account and then whatever bills due then come out?

    What does OH salary cover?
Usual MSE stuff; then what can be cut to the bone?

Does his salary cover CC and any loans?

Tot up what his covers and look at what is leftover.

Whatever can't be covered by his (regular) salary then has to come from you....who has paid freelance work and the new venture plus selling off unwanted personal stuff.

OK We have always been self employed and have, in theory, never had a regular income do I am used to this situation.:o

So, you will need to forecast (realistically) your income taking into account the flows of trade throughout the year, taxes etc

CC are the ones to 'phone first. They won't speak to you until you have missed a payment. MBNA are hardcore and B/CD are tricky too but you e-mail them an SOA ...I PM'd you about this before....and offer a reasonable amount pcm but interest must be frozen.
I will admit to having told little white lies to these people but it got me 0% and now they are nearly all gone.....and on F+F too.

Worst case they fob you off, you stop paying them and then go straight to customer service then the ombudsman....I did this with B/cd and got 0% straight away. Others may disagree and CCCS have good reviews on here but I have never used them so only post from my own experience.

A CC balance of 10k could be sorted @ £80pcm 0% Interest. Would these types of amounts work?

You have done great..the cutting back, the making more money and everything but the DMP is the final act to get it all out of panic nmode.

Also I cancelled all our DD ..even though we pay a bit more for gas etc as the flexibilty was worth more as to when to pay etc.
