Hope you are OK mrscmr. Have they given you any options? Would you be able to try a different bank for help or are you stuck with them?

It just makes me so mad when they cant see that you are obviously trying to get things sorted and have showed them your plans.

Sorry about the Black Horses saying no.
For a DMP get in touch with either Payplan or CCCS.
Stumbling block may be your foreign property but hopefully you can sort something out.

I will...just logging on with a glass of something red (but MSE from Lidl). Off to eat but I will be back later. Promise.
  • Oh mrs cmr I am so sorry, I check in on your diary at least once a day to see how things are going. Will anybody ever give you a break!!!!!

With regard to the DMP, mine is with CCCS and they have been brilliant. The first couple of months are the worst, with creditors phoning seemingly endlessly, but just tell them you are going on a DMP with CCCS and give your reference number. You would get this once you have completed the debt remedy form online and confirmed that you would like to go for a DMP.

Please pm me if there is anything specific you would like to know. It is scary, its not ideal, but it does work. Once it is up and running you can just get on with your life and not have the constant worry.

    Best wishes
    WoS

hey WOS! how are u? as u can see things bit grim... had pinned all my hopes on those black horses :-( but they threw us off :-(

ok so i go to cccs and do all that stuff... but my worry is... bank will obviuolsly pull the plug on bank account - i have business account with them... with about um 78 pounds in! but will that also be pulled? what about the fact that we have a number of products with them like life assurance, pension, sickness insurance? our o/d runs between 2 - 10k each month so they obviously want that back. should i self manage dmp?

omg i have soo much to do... its not fair :-(

  • First thing to do is set up separate basic bank account with a bank in which you have no ties. Your husband's salary will need to be paid into this. We have a Natwest Step account and a Co-Op Cashminder account.

I am not sure about the life assurance etc, i think would be treated separately.

Both mine and my husbands overdrafts were put in the DMP , together with other loans, ccs etc (16 creditors in all).

Give CCCS a call and ask them about the business account. I am not really sure what would happen there.

And it isn't fair and it does seem overwhelming, but once it is done, life is so so much simpler, honestly.
