installed agv 8.5 stoped scanning, removed it run the agv removal .. agv 8.0 still standing strong !
kapinski wont be instaling as they still dont like the smell of agv 8.0

Did you install Avira?

If so uninstall that

Download REGCLEANER

Find ALL registries Grisoft and AVG related and kill them (ONLY them)


Download CCLEANER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure YAHOO TOOLBAR is unticked on installation)

Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)

that will be half a day for me then... you sound very punishing.
i am on avira.. which doesnt seem a problem if you install on top of it the avg or kasperski.. its just the agv 8 trace that wont let it
when i first tried ''avg removal tool it worked ok and it asked me to click what avg antivirus i have- to which i didnt know so clicked one from the list.
now every time i try the removal tool 32 bit it says '' removal tool will remove agv but no options which one it does and although i wait 1 hour, no thing appears to progress or do anything.
will try your new way hopefully works ..
if not i ll sue you- i want my money back

I asked to remove AVIRA as it also references AVG in some of its registrys ettings (as it stands for Anti Virus Guard). So if you go poking around in the registry with Avira still installed and remove something of Aviras you could end up ith a right mess

You should even be attempting to install kaspersky with Avira still installed anyways.

Just so we're clear ~ only EVER have ONE resident scanning (on the fly) anti virus program running (So thats avg OR Kaspersky OR avira)

thought maybe this was old version so i went to the new eddition 2009 which was different and found 409 problems --- brave/desperate enough as i was i ordered '' repair all the f...ers'' but it only repaired 12 and then asked me for 19 dollars to repair all and make computer like it was new

well youve run entirely the wrong program

The one I posted is the correct one and you have to manually go look for them and tick them (ONLY them as I said)

Whatever you HAVE used id suggest uninstalling
