The problem is, we don't know why Gap have been sacked you before you could even do a job, but it's just one of those things. You are understandably cross, but think you might not realise that it is coming out as aggression, and feels like it is being targetted at people on here, which is why some people are responding in a similar fashion.

Chin up, there's plenty of other MS companies out there, check out the first page for the list. :beer:

I thought this thread was meant to be supportive and helpful - clearly you have made your cliques and newcomers are treated like trash.

Clearly I am wrong for thinking this was the right place to ask for help

That is just NOT true, I am newcomer on here and I have had nothing but help and support from the regular posters, Before I found this thread I had less work booked and was often at a loss about things, Everyone on here has always been polite and helpfull to EVERYONE, Maybe it is your attitude that causes problems.........

I have not been given the warmest welcome which has upset me.

A little kindness and support would have gone a long way from the established people on here.

I have been out of the workplace for a while and trying to rebuild my confidence. I get sacked before I get a job and when I ask for help, I get someone I barely know seem uncaring, then be ganged up on when I express how I feel towards them.

I feel really upset at how I have been treated today in many ways but then again I don't think anyone cares - it is pick on a newbie day who feels upset about a company.

I havn't read back on the thread today, but has anyone else noticed stamp shops seem to have gone from GAP?

My attitude as you put it is because I have not had my question answered and felt attacked for asking

I have never known such a cliquey unsupportive thread as this.

All companies have good and bad points, and unfortunatly you weren't given a chance by Gap. It's a shame, but not the end of the world. Perhaps Gap have been saturated with shoppers in your area or perhaps it's even a computer glitch. As cte1111 said, there's plenty of other opportunities with other companies so give a few of them a go and see what you think.

I'm sorry you are upset. But I haven't judged you at all, and did not use the term 'attitude' so not sure where you got that from. I was trying to be nice. Think you need to get a good night's sleep then read back what has been written.

I have found people on here to be generally supportive, with the odd bit of infighting and criticism, but hey we are all human. I've only been on here for a while, and like many other posters try to help people out when I can, but we can't answer the unanswerable, and getting cross with us all does not help encourage people to help you.

At least there isn't an element of attacking me in your post.

The other posters have had me in tears because of their hostility towards me.

I don't know why they had to get involved and it has put me off trying to get help and offer help to others.
