I have not been given the warmest welcome which has upset me.

A little kindness and support would have gone a long way from the established people on here.

I have been out of the workplace for a while and trying to rebuild my confidence. I get sacked before I get a job and when I ask for help, I get someone I barely know seem uncaring, then be ganged up on when I express how I feel towards them.

I feel really upset at how I have been treated today in many ways but then again I don't think anyone cares tbh.

I didn't want to get involved with this discussion especially as I am new to the board but I am getting upset by all the nasty comments that are being thrown about on here when it is usually such a supportive group.

The way I see it, is that 1 member feels she has been treated badly by one of the ms companies and has come on her for support. Maybe some people don't agree with the comments being made or maybe how they are being worded but there is no need for this conversation to have got so out of hand. Can we please draw a line under the conversation as it is not being constructive and if it continues will just simply upset more people. I hope by writing this I am not opening myself up to abuse but I'm just trying to smoothe things over.

I'm sorry you are upset. But I haven't judged you at all, and did not use the term 'attitude' so not sure where you got that from. I was trying to be nice. Think you need to get a good night's sleep then read back what has been written.

I have found people on here to be generally supportive, with the odd bit of infighting and criticism, but hey we are all human. I've only been on here for a while, and like many other posters try to help people out when I can, but we can't answer the unanswerable, and getting cross with us all does not help encourage people to help you.
It is the first time I have posted and feel I have been attacked for asking a question.

    Not the nicest welcome

(I have just stopped crying to answer this)

Stop fighting!!!!!!!!!!! (Only cause I want to know where the stamp jobs have gone!) Please someone?

Lots of love and hugs all round xxx
I don't want to fight but do NOT like being ganged up on, especially as a newcomer.

    Sorry to butt in...

I havn't read back on the thread today, but has anyone else noticed stamp shops seem to have gone from GAP?

    TPA

Yes I had noticed that too, but then I did think that I had done quite a few of them and maybe they were giving me a breather  from these ones so glad its not just me ;)

Wish I knew where the stamp jobs were too. I had to actually pay for a load of ebay sales that I posted today . I've not had any stamp jobs for May, and would love to know if anyone else had?

Gap seemed to be trying to switch to only offering jobs by phone, but then must have given up as they dumped a whole load of jobs on the board in the last few days. Let's hope that they chuck out a nice pile of stamp ones tomorrow am. :T

NB I was trying my best to pour oil on troubled waters, but evidently didn't have the desired effect, will give up now. :o

I agree and would like the established people would stop ganging up on me.

I had hoped to share some tips and give some help to other MS but feel totally unwelcome here:(

Maybe we could get back to the matter at hand, this is all very boring for those of us that want to learn more about MSing :)

CCstar - since you feel you must take this attitude towards everyone who replies to you, including people who have tried to help you understand why you might have mininterpreted people's reponses wrongly, I do feel that I have to comment despite this having nothing to do with me. I don't really expect you'll listen to me any more than you've listened to Josie, or Julie, or CTE, or anybody else, you'll just say that I'm "treating you like trash" too. But I want to make it clear that I don't like the way you're talking to regular posters on here. I'm not 'out to get you' or anything like that - if you'd have posted what you first posted and I'd been the first along, I would have told you how GAP are known to just sack people for no reason. I would have also said that it is unfair, but everyone on here will probably be subject to it eventually, and that's just life, and sometimes life sucks.

I belive that, in her post, Tractor Girl wasn't trying to be rude to you, or trying to unsympathetic to you, she was making a general point that, despite everybody complaining about GAP all the time, she quite likes them. Several other people have also told you that she wasn't being rude - if I were in your position I'd accept, given how many people have told you that they don't see her post as rude, that you might have just misinterpreted her intentions.

If you browse this thread, you'll find many, many posts from TG in which she is being very helpful to posters, both established posters and newbies. I really think you have misunderstood her intentions, unfortunately.

I think Tractor Girl was polite and I've no idea why you think she's being nasty . TG contributes a lot to this thread, so perhaps you should listen to the advice of some of those who've been doing this a little longer, before you jump to conclusions!

    Agreed entirely.

It is nice to know I can rely on people like you for support - you have made it clear I am not welcome in your little clique :(

Thank you very much for your hostile and unhelpful reply and hope you get the level of help you are giving to me when you need it.

Again I say, nobody has been hostile to you. All people have done is reacted to you taking the attitude you took to TG, by trying to explain to you that they don't interpret the post in the way you did. There is no 'clique' on here, there are new posters joining regularly (I myself only started posting about a month or so ago, and have quickly become a regular poster, and I don't feel I've been rejected for not being allowed into a 'clique'.)

Julie seems to agree with me there:
That is just NOT true, I am newcomer on here and I have had nothing but help and support from the regular posters, Before I found this thread I had less work booked and was often at a loss about things, Everyone on here has always been polite and helpfull to EVERYONE, Maybe it is your attitude that causes problems.........

I'm sorry to hear you have had employment trouble in the past. I'm sorry to hear GAP sacked you, that's a shame, but that's how they work, and there's nothing anybody on here can do about it - were you expecting everybody to email protests to them?

People are not ganging up on you. They are defending a regular poster from what a number of people all agree is an unfair accusation based on a misunderstanding. I'm sure everybody here would be very happy to help you with future problems you post.

Like I said at the start, I don't expect you to pay any more attention to what I have to say than you have to anybody else. I just felt I had to add my voice in the hope that you might appreciate your view is in the minority.

Sorry for the uber-long post everybody!

I totally agree but I can't help it if other posters want to have a go.

I would love to be able to help others and get back on track.
