Fay, i was extremley grateful for your reply regarding the tomato plants as it was exactly what i wanted to know and putting it in simple terms is kind of what i need, as i really want them to grow. They have had a nice soak in the bath and are back in the windowsill which gets all the sun.

Bathgatebuyer, fantastic news on the payrise. I don't think you should feel bad about posting about your sucesses because although there are a lot of people going through difficulties, hearing posts like your i feel, uplift peoples spirits and motivate you that bit more. PLus it makes us realise the world isn't completely crashing around our feet!!

Bathgatebuyer, that is wonderful news, am so pleased for you!!

Thank you all so much again for the kind words, I am not doing very well at all this evening, have been in tears because I have already heard that 2 people whom I thought would have been safe - are not. Then DH & I ended up having a STUPID spat (we never argue - this is so out of character for us) & I ended up marching off up the road in the dark!!

We've made up now, I think its just coz I am so stressed now, but am calming down, got a nice cup of tea, and will be going to bed soon.

Thank you again for your hugs & kind words, it really does mean a lot to know that people are thinking about you!! xxxxxxx

Oh Mogchops, I'm so sorry, I really feel for you. I really really hope tomorrow brings you some relief.

Bathgatebuyer, enjoy your success - it has obviously been a long time coming. Yes other people are going through tough times but obviously so have you so no-one can begrudge the fact that things are on the up for you!

Not much to report today, it has been lovely weather so have spent most of it in the garden clearing leaves and a bit of pruning, whilst trying to keep a close eye on T. Not that you can tell, it doesn't look any different. :o However I have decided that this summer will be gorgeous and sunny and brilliant for a change and I am determined to enjoy being in my garden this year.

Oh, I won the Mr Thrifty book off ebay for 50p. This will become approximately the 60,000th money saving book I have read recently, but I'm sure I learn something new from every one.

OH is watching Heroes at the mo but I have decided to give up on it as it is now rubbish as far as I'm concerned, so I am off to make packed lunches for everyone for tomorrow.

    See you tomorrow,
    L x

    Hi Everyone

Been keeping an eye but haven't had a chance to post.

Mogchops - thinking of you. Hope you do get a bit of rest tonight and hope the news is good for your tomorrow.

Bathgatebuyer - great news! You're not bragging - you are sharing good news. Really pleased to hear it. £400 extra per month is really going to make a dent in that debt!

Haven't had much time to do DFW tasks but here are a couple til I go to bed:
    • Pay off CC that I used pay the buildings insurance
    • update spending diary
    • order cartridges for water filter
    • write shopping list for tomorrow.
Will see you tomorrow - am working from home so can keep in touch.

BathgateBuyer - congratulations on the payrise! It's nice to hear some good news as the others have said.

dizzydebs27 - sorry to hear you've got bad neighbours

And my plans for the rest of the day are:
    1) Take leftover curry from last night to work to microwave for tea (I'm working til 11pm tonight) - Did this!
    2) Remember to take some milk and biscuits to work to avoid buying snacks and drinks from the vending machine - Did this too
    3) I need petrol so will use my "Morrisons Miles" card to collect some points as Morrisons is the cheapest place near here for fuel, and I am nearly due a £5 voucher; - Did this too, and put the 2p change in my change pot!
    4) Stop at another petrol station who have a free air line on my way to work, and check my type pressure. - Did this but the air line was broken so need to try again tomorrow
    5) Find a notebook to use as my spending diary - Did this but not written anything yet!

Most goals acumplished - not bad for a first attempt I guess? :A
    Happy New Year
