    Good morning!!

    Today I have already:

    - turned off heating when I got up because it was warm
    - Made everyones packed lunches

    I will be:

    - Making tea with leftover roast chicken from yesterday, (Curry) and also boiling the carcass to make soup for the first ever time (using recipe from the rubber chicken thread!)
    - Hoping to keep my job!!! I am "At Risk" of redundancy, have had all the interviews where I try & convince them that I am wonderful & they cant manage without me :p and today might be "finding out" day. I've been there 15 years, really dont want to lose my job!! Fingers crossed!!!

Will let you know later........keep everything crossed for me :o

aww, thanks guys:o Didn't realise people had list competitions!! The only thing with a long list though is that you have to try and get it all done, meaning busy busy busy!! Although i do love my crazy busy days!!

Just done comparisons for tyres and have found some fairly cheap ones at £26 each including fitting. My OH doesn't like the place i am taking them too though so he has suggested somewhere else and is going to pay the difference:j Can't believe he is being so sweet!

Poor you mogchops, that must be so worrying, try and do something relaxing, as stressful as it is there is nothing you can do about it and as frustrating as it is, what will be will be.xx Will keep our fingers crossed for you.

Tallie, the day with the puppies sounds sweet.

On the money saving front, today was great - I got my bonus and salary letter today. Get a great bonus in a few weeks time (the tax on which will be about a normal month's salary  ), and I'm also getting a pay rise (apparently I'm getting paid less than some people on my grade so this is being increased 4% to take account of that. Feel a bit crappy mentioning that as I know that times are hard for people, but in terms of my progress to becoming debt-free, I've had my best day of the past 3 or 4 years.

As of 16th April, my mortgage goes down about £180 as I come off my fixed rate, I will be paying £140 less on council tax (as I'll have made up those nasty arrears from 2004 that I only found out about in Sept!), and I'll have the pay rise too :T Unbelievably, as of next month, I'll be about £400 a month better off all of those things considered  :j What a massive step forward that will be in becoming debt-free. Things should no longer be the struggle thay have been for the past 3 years and the end of my £34K debt should be nearby. It's been a long road back from being out of work 3 years ago with debts, but nearly there. Very very very nearly there.

I'm so happy I could :j Roll on April.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
