    Morning all

Two loads of washing on the line including bedding from spare room as DS is going home tonight :(

They are still sawing and drilling and the house looks like a bomb site. No point trying to tidy up until they've finished though, then I can vacuum up the sawdust which is everywhere even though they are sawing in the garden.

I'm cooking for teatime today because I can't really use the kitchen at the moment.

Thank goodness I can hide on the computer!

Morning flyladies and phil and OJ! phil - everything the ladies have already said is spot on.

Just caught up - great news about polka!

We were all out yesterday, as we had a big family lunch - our family, my sister's family and my brother and his fiancee - really an occasion to meet all of us before the wedding. Poor girl, she looked a bit daunted! We had lunch at the same venue as the wedding: it's a lovely country house, with a tiny pretty chapel, a lake and lovely gardens for photos. It's a very small wedding, so absolutey ideal. (Note: no bridesmaids in any colour at all...;))Afterwards, we went back to my sister's for an hour or so, and then home. A very relaxing day, but I feel absolutely shattered this morning!

I'm going to chuck the chicken in the oven, and then off to the allotment for an hour. This afternoon I want to nip into town to see if I can buy something to wear on holiday...DD looked in my wardrobe the other day and said in horror 'You don't have any clothes:eek:' Even taking into account that she's 16 and spends all her money on clothes, therefore likely to have a rather prejudiced view, she is right...Absolute minimum, two pairs of linen trousers, two t shirts, and perhaps a little cardigan. I'm of an age where I'm not prepared to be chilly for the sake of looking good...

I have posted this on another board but not had any replies and i was hoping one of you fantastic ladies or gents can shed me a little light.

As you all know I am in an affected pool of this round or redundancies and as i work part time i think it wil be me.
Our company don't do the finish friday get your redundancy money, they pay you this over three months on garden leave then give you whats left after the garden leave is up. You can be made to work the three months.
If i were to get another job in the mean time the payments would then stop.

Does anyone else's work do this?

Very confused due to lack of sleep worrying about job money bills etc.

But at least i have a nice clean house if i have to sell it

Soappie - My mum and dad when dad was alive always used to follow aeroplanes and were regular visitors to RAF Waddington and Coningsby.
They spent many an hour stood on steps at the end of the runways watching planes take off and land and there the obsession began. Mum is now an avid photographer she started with a disc camera and now has progressed to digital with massive lenses and even had her own darkroom before she moved.
I always loved to go to the airshows when i was young. Now i wonder if thats where my obsession began Men in Uniform hmmmmm :p, sorry back on topic.
It was the sound that did it for me. Especially when the vulcan took off and landed. The vibrations starting at my feet and working up my body was such a rush.
When on holiday in cornwall at Polzeath we always sat outside the pub at 20.50 each night and we would wait for the sonic boom as concorde flew out over the atlantic.
See thats what we did without a Wii and all the other gadgets of today.

    Sorry for waffling
