    Morning all

Happy Mother's Day to you all.

I'll visit my mother's grave next weekend and take her some flowers, as my brother and his family are going today, and it is a 3 hour drive each way.

    Jade RIP.

    Polkadot congratulations

    Happy Mothers Day

Dailies are done, and we are vaguely tidy. Just waiting for the place to warm up enough to start on the garden - maybe 80% of the weeding done now, then I need to start again at the beginning with the hoe.

Off to bake a cake first - 172% of daily recommended saturated fat in one slice of the caramel cake!

SC is on with the mince & onions, it smells yummy already. I'm trying to find the log book for the car cause it's holding up proceedings re: car tax, can I heck find it, still bright side, I've sorted out a huge pile of paperwork so most of that was binned....clear space....clear space.

hex that's my kinda cake *thumbs up* :D

Right, off upstairs to make beds etc and to have another look for the log book.

Bum! I've cobbled together the stuff I have had sent in for the newsletter and I still have four blank half pages. One I can fill with funnies, the others, I have no idea. I shall now go and get breakfast and put my thinking cap on and come up with SOMETHING to write an article on.... Loosely aviation or military themed.

If any of you have any ideas, I'd be grateful.

ETA - actually, once I get the idea, I can fill another half page with an associated picture willfully plagiarised from the 'net so that's only two half pages I need to find text for...

Well don't leave us hanging, what is it then, oh genie of the numerical world :rotfl:.

    Polka congratulations re your news.

    Pigpen, your cheeky you are...at least I don't tell my kids I'm a mermaid!!!:p

Re Jade Goody, the way I see it is that she was able to have a good, well managed ending, having been surrounded by those she wanted, where she wanted, having said her goodbyes and having made the future secure for her children. A lot of people don't get to do any of that, at least Jade did.

Greenbee, I've decided that you need an official cake tester and despite it being a hard decision, think the only sensible choice would be moi for the job. :D

My working hours will be flexible and I will endeavour to fulfil my duties in the utmost professional and committed manner. Pass us a slice then.:p;):D

Soappie sorry no thoughts re your articles, could we carry on the theme of food and write about what pilots eat when flying.....:confused::confused:

Lil me yey, well done on getting some of that essay done, sending let the words flow vibes to you and Pigpen and anyone else whose having to write at the mo.

TAG still not sleep? have you tried the pills yet?!? ouch, i hate the zombie feeling after a bad nights sleep! hope it improves really soon for you Hug.gif

I took one of the pills on Friday night. They're only a low dose one as apparently they are addictive:rolleyes::eek: I'm supposed to take one every other night, but I can't do that as I have to drive for work 3 days a week:rolleyes: So the only nights I can them are a Monday and Friday would you believe:rolleyes: Talk about vicious circle.

Anyhow, I did sort of sleep better Friday but I did wake up a couple of times, so it certainly didn't knock me out completely. I think I'm just gonna get up now if I find myself awake. I finally went back to bed at 4.45am this morning. Still took a while to drop off again though even though I was tired.

As for the list, I know I won't get it all done today. I'm going to carry it all forward and mix it in with next weeks list. On topic 2 loads of washing on the line. Another load about to go in.

Off topic - very sad news about Jade.
