Im gutted, just got off the phone to the school. DS was so bad today he was reported to the head. Has detention on Monday. Teacher has admited she does not know how to deal with DS. I kinda knew it was too good to last, but i feel like someone has just kicked me :cry::cry:
Its daft but now i cant stop crying, sometimes feels no matter what i do it always goes wrong. I just expected that he would be good today. Maybe thats where i went wrong.

Oh hun - I'm sorry!! Big (and rather dodgy) hugs to help!! :grouphug:

After your little chat last night as well!
I spose it means on the flip side that your 'day trip out vouchers' will last a little longer now!! I'm a great one (bearing in mind I have no kiddywinks of my own, only a 7yo DSS!!) for rewarding good behaviour and punishing bad!! How people go about it is a personal choice I guess, usually a withdrawal of any privileges works I find... TV time etc!

Anyway, law and order aside, I hope this doesn't ruin your weekend. A good reason for a cuppa and a biscuit though!!!;)

Lol, yes the vouchers will now last longer! And thanks for the dodgy hugs :p

DS is on a TV ban.

Even though I dont agree with the way today was handled DS behabour to it was unaceptable. As DS has been really good, ok, 'normal' - ie, not just walking out of class, ect..
He has for the last 6 days been really good, taking part in team games, sitting with others, taking part in every lesson.
Well today he was excited, really looking forward to school he thought he was going to get a reward for being so good. I said thats great try really hard today.
So he went to assembly and watched others getting there rewards and didnt get one.
He was do disspointed which i understand in a way. So after assembly he went back to class, got upset and started causing problems to get attention, good or bad attention doesnt matter to Joe, as long as it is attention.
To be honest after the teacher told me that she shouldnt have to reward 'normal' behavour from him (this is a child with the behavour outreach team envoled ) Well i agree that his behavour was not correct after the assembly, he should have just accepted it :( and he has detention on Monday for this. (reflected in TV ban) I still feel that he should of been took adside and at least told he had done well for complying with their so told 'normal' after they were the ones who told me he may have ADHD, Autism, Displexia, oh well the list can just go on and on. Anyway I am still quite angry as you can tell. I just hope that DS doesnt see this as a set back and can carry on with his good behavour next week. Rant aside, DS and I are still going to go to the libary tomorrow and the market. He is on a TV ban still and that wont change until Sunday (after tutor).

Money is still going to plan, looking forward to see how much fruit and veg we can get from the market for £8!

oh and I paid for my train fare in 5p's today thank god no one was behind me :o

    Afternoon all,

Well we only went to the libary close to us, had a banging headache and just didnt feel up to the bus really. Feeling alot better now and we are going to walk the dog and have a wonder down the highstreet after, so hoping to spot a fruit and veg stall.

Have managed to meal plan for next week, so thats all i need, still have 8 pints of milk, so shouldnt really need any more than that.

Hope everyone is good. Sun is shining here, shame the weather man said it wasnt going to last into next week.

Morning, I was woken up at 7.30 by DS today, lovely surprise in the living room, 2 cards, a clothes smelly thingy he made in a shape of a dog and a chocolate cake! So ive been spoilt really.

Not alot on today, i still seem to have a huge washing pile that never goes down, DS tutor will be here at 11 so going to make a few things in the kitchen, hang up some washing. Have already put a batch of yohurt on for DS and his lunches. Dont need to cook today as im being treated at my dads, so might actully try and stay out off the kitchen. We will see.

    Hope everyone is okay today.

    Afternoon,

Had a great weekend really, didnt do much at all yesterday other than make colsaw  bought it into work as i knew i still a a block of cheese here, so had cheese and colsaw sarnies for lunch :money:

Money is dreadful, and i dont even want to think about the bank charge im going to get next month

    Anyways the money side

    £686.64 o/d

    Still to pay

    Travel £15.60
    C/Care £50
    Tutor £24

    Money In Fri 27th

    WTC £65.91
    CTC £95.35

    TOTALS £161.29

CASH - CB - Goes into another account

    So far,

    Spent

    £5.45 on ciggarette

    LEFT £74.55

Going to use this money for Tutor and Travel so should have £34.95 left in cash. (Going to keep this at home so im not tempted to buy anything)

So HSBC acc should stand at £575.35 o/d on Friday. Which means when i get paid I will need to factor in the £75.35 plus any bank charges  (Im only angry cause it is my own fault!)

Anyways hope everyone had a nice weekend. Best get back off to work, lunch is nearly finshed.

    RANT ALERT

Well, its SATS today, DS refused point blank to do anything, Ive just spoken with DS teacher and she commented that i sounded quite down, well i explained that after our telephone call on Friday after she told me that she shouldnt have to reward normal behavour im at a loss with what else i can do  She is now saying that wasnt said  Am i going mad  i really dont know anymore? I didnt imagine her saying this, im sure, now i feel like im going crazy.

I just want a happy son at school. The behavour has calmed down alot now, at least DS isnt leaving the school grounds / throwing chairs etc. He will now sit with others and take part in lessons - that he choses he wants to do.

Why do i have a little git at school and a angel at home

    Answers on a postcard please?

    Hi Angie!!

Bless ya - sorry you are not having a brilliant time with DS's school.

I think that children who are not normally the 'best behaved' in class should be praised and rewarded when their behavious reaches (what the teacher would class as) normal. Otherwise, the kids have no sense of achievement and no desire to keep up the behaviour. They should also be rewarded for maintaining their behaviour at a higher level. Am sorry if DS's teacher doesn't think like this. My brothers school used to make up awards (as and when needed) to give those kids who needed it a boost. There were ones like "most improved behaviour of the week", etc. They wouldn't appear in assembly every week, just as and when they were needed to give a child a boost!

As for the teacher taking back what was said... it doesn't surprise me! My mum had similar things with my brother and now she's a classroom assistant for children with learning difficulties, she has ears like a hawk and the memory of an elephant (doesn't make my mum sound very attractive does it!!?) - no-on e can get away with 'I didn't say....' - mum knows better!!!

I hope you get it sorted!! At least DS's behaviour is better.... and without much help / encouragement from the school - well done you (and DS of course!)

(Angie, I have rambled on above - hope it makes vague sense? In short, hang on in there!!!)
