Mmm pie and mash for free...perfect!!

Being a lurker I do remember your last diary, best of luck this time, looks as though you've got off to a good start and sound very determined!

I'd definitely recommend doing a signature which you can update as and when, it's so rewarding updating it each time and watching the debt (hopefully!) go down!

before the free pie + mash, i saw that you said you hadn't got lunch and that you were going to get some for a couple of quid......

i hate spending money on lunches, especially when there is food in the house. i make my own sarnies (i freeze bread that i have bought on offer - i got a yummy pumpkin and linseed one for 30p and 2 sliced hot x bun loaves for 10p each in asda on sun).

but if i don't have time and have to run, my standby is a packet of value crisps (4p), an apple and a yoghurt (i always buy whatever is on offer) - that makes lunch for about 40p. i keep the stock of these things at work anyway for the week. that £1.60 saved a day is £35 a month!

    Thanks firesidemaid,

Ive being trying to pursaude my dad to come shopping with me on a Monday so we can stock up on a few things for at work. I used to always bring lunches in, but then felt bad cause my dad didnt have anything, started to do his, but he is soooooo fussy! And makes it expensive too!

Im so lazy really, i make up DS lunches, so it wouldnt take more than an extra couple of mins to do mine. I must get more motivated.

Hope everyone is ok today, I couldnt get into work until 9, and i have to leave at 1.30 to get to DS school in time for the meeting, can he can be there too, so it means i can pick him up :) Also means im a few hours down this week, so will need to catch up the hours before Sunday, other wise my pay will be down. It shouldnt be too hard, i can work from home for a few hours of it.

Had to buy a return ticket today at £4.50! Can belive how expensive trains are, esp when there is only one an hour in rush hour!

    Anyway, best start working!

Hi angie_baby just wanted you to know I read your thread everyday to see how well your doing. I don't always have anything to say (BIL would say this is a miracle) but thought you should know that their are people out in the world thinking positive thoughts about you.

Regarding lunches at work, what facilities are available? Kettle, microwave, fridge, toaster, oven, hob, grill, freezer. Let us know and we can try and think of a few lunches which you can grab from home or keep at work for emergencies, obviously low cost.

    Thanks Baileys Babe,

Quite lucky where we work, have toaster / kettle / fridge and microwave. I just need to get into the habbit of bringing things in again, even if it was jsut some bread and cheese, then i could make sarnies here.

Have managed to register with ebay, am going to try and get a few things on tonight, i need to get the overdraft back down to under 500. I really do not want another bank charge (which is what happened today) to take me back over the o/d next month, otherwise im just in that stupid circle again.

Im going to have to buy some fruit and milk today on my way home, going to set a max of £5. Most of that will be taken up with milk though, need at least 8 pints to last until the end of next week.

On a brighter note, the new batch of yoghurt is ok! Ive also found 8 packets of easiyo mix so i wont need to buy yoghurt for DS lunches for a while (have 4 flavoured ones to get DS happy). So will save a few quid over the next few months or so.

Well, i went to tesco's and only spent £4.36 on milk/bananas/apples.

Meeting with school went well, and DS is behaving at school too at the moment which is really nice. Alot less stressful!

Money is quite bad, but working on some figures and meal plans for next week. This is the last time i am going to be in this situation again.

And i really mean it this time.

    Morning Angie!!

You will do it this time!! I think you have the right level of anger for being in this situation.... you and me both!! I am still angry at myself for getting here.... unlike some I didn't have any real help in doing so either (ie, no messy divorce or a leeching partner, not even down to being unemployed at any point!) Just my own stupidity!! But my anger will get me through this and out the other side (one day) where debt will not exist!! EVER!!!

Have a good day!! Nats x

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!

    Morning,

Well last night i found every penny in the house, i have £15 left in notes and £2.60 in change for my travel to work tomorrow. I paid all my fair in 10p and 20p's this morning, revenge for that stupid machine giving me change from a £20 in 50p's me thinks.

Im going to have to draw out some CTC on Friday,

    £50 for C.Care - short week
£13 for travel to work next week
£10 for food / veggies / fruit (always seem to need fruit)
    £25 for DS tutor

    TOTALS £98

This is only this weeks c/care will need to sort the other bits next Friday when i get the CTC again.

I will draw out the £90 and make the £8 up with whats already in my purse.

Plan for Saturday morning is to get the bus (need to check balance on oyster card) into town so i can go to the market to spend £8ish pounds, leaving £2 for milk. Also going to pop into the libary for an hour or so, DS likes going to the small one where we live so the bigger one should be a bit more impressive for him, also going to get new cards so we can take books home :)

    Hope everyone is okay.

    Morning, I like Fridays!!!

I am really hoping DS can have a good day again today, It is so nice for him to be happy at school and behaving. As im sure ive said before it makes life so much nicer. No happy 'talks' every night, well accept yesterday when i sat him down to tell him how much a appreicate him behaving at school and i hope these changes can stay.:D Im not going to get my hopes up too mcuh as he has done this before being good for a while, then going compleatly off the rails, but i really do hope it can stay this way. :D

I have drawn £100 from my account, instead of the £90 this is all i have to last. So I think i need to really give up the smoking.

I forgot that i get my CB on Monday, so am going to transfer that over to my main account to help cover some of the over over draft. I need to get it back down to under the arranged £500.

Hope everyone is well, Im already looking forward to 5pm! :T

EDIT : forgot to add my clubcard deals came through yesterday, £70 quids worth! That should keep us going for days out over the next few months!
