Morning all,
Looked at my diary and saw that DF's are returning home tonight after 6wks in Australia, we look after their place whilst they are away, I always get bread and milk in for them and cook a dish of something. I'm going to do a cauli cheese (they're veggies) and some HM rolls.
Will have to make extra something for 8 people. DH, me, DD1, DGD1, DD2, SiL2b, DMum and her OH. Had only planned for 4 then plans changed last night. I've been up since 4am and have the second loaf in BM.
Think I'll get 2 cooked chickens for £6 from Morries as I'm running out of time, not OS but needs must.
DD2 is going through a weepy stage ATM, she has had little sleep since having the baby, sometimes feeding takes over an hour and is feeding every 3hrs. I'm doing as much as I can to help but I'm not able to help with that.
I'm hoping that her coming here today cheers her up.
SQUIGGLY, Try not to over do things, sounds like you'll meet yourself coming back soon.
SUNNYGIRL, I think a support group is a good idea for your DM & DD, might take some worry off you also.
CANDYGIRL, Hope your DD will soon be feeling better, sorry for my ignorence but I don't know what SPD is. Try not to worry, easier said than done though.
PENPIN, Hope today is a better one for you.
Right then, off to do a million and one things, take care all.0 -
Lol, beth, that's a good saying - and I think it will be the case...!! What keeps me going is knowing it's not for much longer now
Then I will be having the whole summer off before starting work hopefully.
Hope your DD manages to relax a little with you today, and I'm sure it will cheer her up.

Good morning all. Nice and bright here in Essex - sun is just peeping through now so hopefully it'll stay like that for OH's match this afternoon.
BM has been on and we've had toast with the results, DW is emptied, WM is on now and will be able to be hung out later. I'm dressed and OH is in the shower. It's my Dad's birthday today so we shall pop over there in a minute with his card and tell him that as he's so tough to buy for his present will be beer, but he'll have to wait until we go on holiday so it's slightly more interesting beer! I've no doubt he won't complain!
While we're out we'll pop into the cheapie shop to get bin bags and also paper plates to take on hols with us. If they have any I want a better spray bottle for my stardrops solution too - the one I have will only spray if it's blt upright which is annoying. I've got a voucher for her ladyship's food to so we'll price that up in the little pet shop over the big shop in town.
Soup for lunch with a roll. Not sure what for tea yet - might be freezer surprise later, or maybe wraps as I got some cheap last week and popped them in the freezer. I have chick peas on to cok now having soaked them over night - we have friends over tomorrow for lunch and I'm doing tagine and couscous...thought I'd look out Jamie Oliver's flatbread recipe and give that a go, and also make some houmous as I have some yogurt that will need using up anyway.
Right - lots to do today so best get going. Have a wonderful day all - the sun is now fully out here, hope you have the same!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I had to laugh at myself last night. I can't remember who said they had glandular fever and I'm too lazy today to look back. I asked DH, what is glandular fever? I'd never heard of it. Turns out it's the same thing that is called mono in the states. Sometimes I feel really dumb with the differences in names for things between the states and here.
Peyton, I have family in the USA, and dd and I went to visit a few years ago, I was in a department store and asked one of the ladies where the loo was,she did not have a clue what I was on about, once we had worked out what I wanted we had a good laugh at the difference in language.
Morning all.
Nice bright day here, have got a dark wash on which I will hang out today, will put OH work jeans on a boil in a while.
OH has gone off to the bootie today, why does he grumble at getting up at 6 all week, then choose to do it on a saturday.
Later on dd will be going out with her dad, and OH and I will be walking, I bought a new book 100 walks in West Sussex, and we choose a different one each week, its great visiting new places, I will make up sandwiches and a flask of coffee, we generally find somewhere beautiful to sit and eat.
Tea tonight will be freezer suprise, and [strike]I[/strike] we need to hoover through empty the bin, and mop the floors.

Hugs to all having a worrying time especially penny pincher, rage in eden, moneysava, smokybabe etc."This site is addictive!"

Moneysaving Diva - hugs. It sounds like Treacle is stubborn enough to keep going for a while. My late mother survived for 18 months after her diagnosis of terminal cancer and despite having only been given three months - she didn't like the doctor she saw and was stubborn enough to prove him wrong!
Hugs to all.
Dear heart has just found out how much I paid for some educational dvds for little bear recommended by the speech therapist. I am not sure he was fit to drive when he left to go to town.
And my darling father has sent little bear an orange cushion cover. Not sure why.
