I had a key facts illustration on the 23-3-09,called last night and they honoured the 5 year fix with no fee.Great result.
Thanks to the OP who made me aware of this.0 -
your welcome.remember as i said in my earlier thread about 2 weeks ago ,it really was/is a no brainer to at least get the ball rolling with this deal and get the details sent to you as you are not tied into any contract until you send it away signed, that gives you the option of looking for 28 days [thats usually how long the quote lasts] minus 7 days [err on caution for sending it away incase of any misshaps]=21 days to play with while looking at all the other deals on the market i reckon some people still have over a week or so to send their docs away.this i assume goes with any other lender people are with.cheers0

!!!!!! missed it - I was told to phone back on the 31st as my deal is up on the 30th June - We are currently with the A&L on 5.49 % fixed for 5 years.
We do have a low LTV - about 40 %, so not sure if they will have anything else on offer for us - We revert to SVR at end of fixed, but would rather get on another fixed rate .
Phoned A&L yesterday and have opted for the 3.95% 5 year fixed with £999 fees:eek: It still works out cheaper than their 4.5 ( I think)with 299 fees. She is sending out the Key Facts and we have 3 weeks to sit on it but think we will probably go for it - a saving of arounf £50 on what we are just now. I asked if she needed a valuation ut she says according to the Halifax thingy she knows what our valuation is
How does this work - can anyone fill me iin? I wasnt sure if they just took valuation from 5 years ago then added a percentage on ( I was reckenoning on about 160,000 but she said she had it at £178,000!! so LTV rate down at 38%No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:
Officially Mortgage free 31/07/2017 , 12 years early :j0 -
