You wrote that you have just paid via the internet?

    sorry for the confusion right....

the old account, that had £235 left on it was paid via net banking once rossendales told me via email what my reference number was. i started paying straight away and didnt have any visits from a bailiff.

the £700 is the current debt, that had the blank inventory posted through my door....

    does that make sense??

the debt he's coming for on friday i do not recall receiving any paperwork for. i certainly didn't sign any inventory for it.

So you have got three lots of bailiff accounts going?

    No wonder you hate them.

Have you sent Herbie21 that pm?

Even better, can you also get hold of your local councillor and tell him you are being charged illegal fees and whilst you are happy to pay the CT and the fees, you do not think it is right that you have been put in this sitaution by your local council.

    ^ This...

local councillors are really good at this kind of thing and should be available to speak to within the time you have, easily. Fact is, the bailiffs are agents of the council and therefore the council are responsible for their actions. So if the bailiffs are adding on illegal charges and/or refuse to discuss how their total amounts are arrived at then this is the council's problem, and the councillors are our route to getting things sorted when our local council lets us down.

right I've found the breakdown for the current reference (£700 odd). he posted it through my door with a blank inventory. in august 08. he's charged me for the 2 visits

I dont recall receiving this for the reference he's visiting me for on friday! i just paid the firm via interent banking with the reference.

    Really? A blank levy?

That'll be the substance of any complaint you make to the council and your councillor. Hopefully Herbie can help you find out if this bailiff is certificated and if so this ought to be worth a punt with the court that approved their certificate too.

do u think that the fees could relate to the other reference number aswell? you know, 2 refs so 2 sets of charges?

Each file/Liability Order will have its own set of charges.

If they are "enforcing" several LOs at once, for example, each LO could end up with a levy fee against it (I think... it's been a long time).

But fees from one case won't appear in the schedule of fees for a different one.

Thanks very much. I think some of the stuff going dot's way is deeply dodgy and am glad to know I am not losing my marbles.

    Roberto, RAS.

I'm sending a letter today asking for a breakdown of the xtra £200.I am also emailing them every couple of hours with the same email asking for a breakdown.

If i don't get a response by friday, what should I do? How should I behave as such?? obviously he's not coming into my house so I'll wait for him outside. but if i don't think the charges are correct should i refuse to pay him anything? I can pay the £200ish friday to rossendales by net banking...no problem. ??

also I can pay the other account off over the next few weeks. How long will it take for the account to go legal if i just refuse to speak to them and just pay it off?? there are no cars outside my house during week (hubby works away) and i've not signed a walk in possesion order.

any advice always greatfully received. x
