You threw the name - I merely reported on this thread what was particular to this dealer. T&c never matter to you and they never will, but since they are fundamental to anything (and in this case everything) your version of the "impact" is based on totally inaccurate and completely flawed ASSumptions, so people can make up their own minds. They now have the opportunity to read the t&c first should this affect them or follow your misguided meanderings. You have served that process very well, methinks!0

How do you know what matters to me or not?
You threw the name - called me an "armchair amateur" and still persist in telling me what I am or not - or what I read or don't read and now telling me I serving some purpose. What purpose? What war / conspiracy theory are you fighting?0 -
How is because you've made it quite obvious that you don't feel the need to read the t&c or that they matter. I have seen your posts for long enough to see your usual standard of advice and lack of knowledge - having previously openly admitted during your long spell of advice on another dealer that you'd never actually used them. I think the "name" I used, which was actually a description, was extremely accurate. It was accurate then and (since you're the one who repeatedly states t&c are "gibberish" and don't bear reading) it is just as accurate now.
As I said, my posts about this issue (as with many others) are based on experience, fact and knowledge - and come directly from those t&c you treat with ignorance and disdain. Anyone considering any cashback deal would do very well to consider which source of advice will guide them best.0 -
Hello all,
I am in desperate need of a phone and I have seen a fantastic offer on the BMP site for a free HTC Wildfire on T-Mobile at £15. I am worried as I feel that this site/company does not seem to be very committed to its customer's needs however, it is not a cashback type contract (basically there are no half-price/free months on this contract or any other special promotions with it including no free gifts). The majority of problems with this company seem to be from the cash-back offers and such things but since this contract deal that I have seen has none of that would it be okay to use this site to buy the phone? Or should I avoid it at all costs and look somewhere else?
Thanks to all who can help me out.0 -

I have had no problems with then, having taken out a 12 month deal last year which ends in November. This is a cashback deal with 3 out of 4 claims having been paid. There was a delay on 2nd one on top of the agreed payment period.
If its a non cashback deal you are going for, you should be fairly safe. I would personally avoid refurbished phones (from any retailer online) to avoid having to send it back if it became faulty (more chance than with a new phone).0 -
hi i had no problems with them i did my t-mobile upgrade with them, however because of a t-mobile change in their t&c's you are less likely to be put on the web and walk plus 3gb allowance now so i would go direct through t mobile with 600 mins 500 texts unltd internet 3gb fup anf another booster foc!!! for £20 if you do go direct through t-mobile i can refer you and you will get a free £25 shopping voucher!0

How the hell do you know how I treat what or not? Did I mention or talk of cashback deals when referring to VAT? What is your problem? Do you like talking to the mirror and try to get the last word?0 -
OneADay and daindian, thank you both for your swift replies. There were helpful. OneADay, the phone is not a clearance/refurbished phone so I am guessing that going for this option is probably the best choice now based on what you've said.
daindian, what do you mean by 'because of a t-mobile change in their t&c's you are less likely to be put on the web and walk plus 3gb allowance'? Can you back that up with some more info. please?
Another question I forgot to ask was, if BMP did somehow go bust would that affect my phone and/ or contract?0 -

As long as you are not taking out a cashback deal / refurbished phone, you are ok as the service contract is with the network.
One thing to be vary of is that t-mobile do charge for voicemail (not on all tariff but certainly on the cheaper tariffs).0 -

It wouldn't affect your phone contract with the network.
Though if bmp owed you any cashback then you would be in with all the other unsecured creditors, and couldn't expect any more cashback from them.0
