OMG 35 weeks today, if this pregnancy goes like that last, I could potentially have a baby in the next 2 weeks!
    Scary but exciting thought!

I think it's on the computer system, did you not given a letter when bubs was born, it will have his NHS number and details of time date and place he was born, but apparently you dont need that now anyway.

Thanks AM :D, I got given a letter of discharge on day 2 from the MW but was told that had to go to my GP within 48hrs, so that's gone now.... Is it something you only get in hospital?

  • Weezl, I wasn't given a letter either time. We just made an appointment with the registrar and our details were already on their computer system. Are you going too? I insisted just in case DH fluffed it up! :rotfl:

Oh, and yes, we have taken the baby each time but not sure if you have to. It didn't say on the leaflet we were given.

PS: JL = John Lewis ;)

    Thanks SB!

    Ah! John Lewis! :o

just looking at your sig. Wondered because both your babies were consistent in their 11 days over EDD whether maybe you have a long cycle (EDDs are based on a 28 day cycle with day 14 as ovulation, which less than half of women have) just a thought, if your periods are usually further apart, you may be being given EDDs with your pregnancies that are too soon for your body. Just a thought, and please ignore if it doesn't fit for you!:D

  • RE - swaddling and sleeping bags. My DS HATED being wrapped up and would not sleep in the sleeping bags. He wanted only to fidget and move around all the time - asleep though! If I tried to restrain him he would wake up. He also hated the moses basket and would only settle in the cot. Only thing I can say is every baby is different and don't buy loads of one thing and think you have done. If you want to try sleeping bags buy one (and they now sell them in Tesco, Sainsburys and even primark all for less than a tenner so you dont need the £30 grobag ones that we wasted money on...) and see how you get on with it. It would be a shame for you to waste money as you can always call for them afterwards if they work out OK.

EDD's from charts are, but then once scans are done thats the more accurate, when I was pregnant with Aston I knew my LMP date, and when I went for my 12 week scan I was told I was only 10+5, so my EDD was changed according to that as I have a long cycle.

Well mum has given me strict instructions for Roo not to be early... *sigh*
My uncles wife is going downhill very quickly now they have stopped treatment and her son has his confirmation at the beginning of May and it's touch and go if his mum will be around to see it. So mum is going to his confirmation regardless and obviously there will probably be a 4th funeral either right at then end of my pregnancy or before Roo is very old :( I've already spoken to mum and agreed that if it's between now and end of June I won't be home for the funeral - I can't fly any longer and I am not even going to check if Roo can fly before she's at least 2 months old because I don't think it's good for babies to fly that early personally...

I do hope that if I have any more children I won't have so many funerals to attend :( 3 possibly 4... I think that's just too many in a year let alone during one pregnancy!

And on a cheerful note... 12 days of work left till I am on annual leave and then maternity leave! :jump: Have about 7 bits and pieces to post from selling on Ebay last night so have about £85 I think on paypal - give or take a couple of quid of fees (grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)
So going to spend some of that on wool for blankets and wash cloths etc that I'm hoping to crochet :) The rest can join the baby savings (now have £1500  not bad since beginning of January me thinks... and so long as hubby's company doesn't decide to not pay any bonuses at all then he should get a decent bonus this year too as he's met all his targets etc so that should be another couple of grand in the savings as we're splitting it - seems a bit unfair on him as he's done all the work but an extra couple of grand means more time at home with Roo :) )
