Hi there again,
I'm trying to think of a good pressie for my friend, her second baby will be born in early sep. i've already thought that a battery powered hand held fan wd be good cos she'll be 3rd trimester over the summer. Her first birth was a c section, and she's not sure whether to go down the same route with number 2. I'm just adding that in cos lots of the things I've thought of (rlt bags, oil for p massage, arnica gel for down below afterwards...) don't seem at all useful if she has a section. I'm keen for them to be practical presents, so would love any inspiration!:A
another dumb question, I made an appt for DH to register baby today.I've looked at what you have to tell them and do. It doesn't say you need to take the baby tho, is that right?
I know it sounds a bit daft, but if you can just rock up and register a fake baby then what's to stop multiple benefit fraud?;)
nb: I'm not considering this as an income spinner, it just made me think they might need to see proof of his existance!
oh I feel silly now....:o
emlou and Mel, thinking of you both, and hoping for some lovely news!:D
hugs to all who need them.

Just came on to announce that I have a son!:j
Ryan, James was born 14th Feb 14 weeks premature!
Ryan is doing ok but we have to take each day as it comes which at times is not easy.
I hope all you guys are getting on with your bumps and congrats to all the new arrivals.
If i get chance i will post my birth story -so crazy :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
School uniforms... oh smeg I forgot about that! Is it to late to change my mind about havign this baby???? I DON'T do ironing! DH does his own (and if he's too ashamed to go out with me in what I'm wearing being crumpled he does mine too
), do you think I can train him to do the kids uniforms in future too???
if not then I might have to either learn :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: or pay someone to iron the school uniforms

Right - baby questions
How many sheets do you lot reacon I need for Roo's moses basket that we bought today?and in terms of duvet etc for her basket - what type, size, thickness should I get??? reading Princess's story has just scared DH and I into action realizing that we need to get all this organised NOW just in case!
Apart from the moses basket, sheets and duvet will I need anything else when she comes home from hospital as far as sleeping goes?
Have nappies (thank you Boots!), baby wipes, cotton wool balls, sudocrem, baby powder (and everything else that comes in the Johnsons boxes that were in the Asda baby event hehehehe), changing mat and table.
Need top and tail bowl and baby bath - anything else I need for changing and cleaning the little mite?
Clothes... have a couple of bits but need more sleep suits without and with legs, socks, and mittens (although I could just get enough socks and give them double use lol). Need muslins etc from JL when I get a chance and a baby sling... have buggy and car seat...
OK - have I forgotten anything???
No duvets, will get too hot.
And remeberif you were to have roo this early she wouldnt be going home with you so you would still have time to prepare yourselves at home.
I've got a T&T bowl, because it came with the bath box i bought on ebay, and a bath too, all for £3.70 - bargain!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
