i had always thought you could until today, i guess it depends on your MW. it didnt make jackson sleepy and he breastfed straight away but i think it made me quite drowsy as i couldnt remember all of the birth very clearly and it was only a 6 hour labour, i think the pethidine is to blame which is why i dont want it this time.

You can have peth at HB coz Redmel didn't bother getting the script for it filled, if you google "home birth pethadine" theres lots of confirmation too
I don't want it myself, didn't need it with Chris and would prefer meptid if I need anything extra but will find out if I can next week when I see MW to officially book my HB :j

I'm hoping I can come and join you? I started trying to read the thread but realised I couldn't read fast enough to catch-up and have skipped to the end!!

I am due 21st July but don't know if it's a girl or boy yet. I'm convinced it's a boy...but then I thought my DD was a boy, so what do I know!!

My MW said I can book it anytime after 32 weeks, I figure its best to get in there and get my slot ASAP

Just remembered I think Weezl had peth at her HB, I'm sure she said her tip was don't get out of birthing pool until MW had syringe filled and ready to stab in ur bum :rotfl:
