In order for breastfeeding to work as a contraceptive, certain conditions must be met that completely conflict with a western lifestyle... You basically have to feed the baby on demand approx every 2 hours... Day and Night... Cultures where babies are constantly carried with mothers and actively co-sleep work well because the baby often has free access to the breast and will feed a lot more often than in cultures where babies are encouraged to sleep alone for long periods of time...

That sounds like my life at the moment! (But i won't count on it as contraception - the being too tired to do anything will be a good contraception though!) :rotfl:

i did think that it should be up to me and not her weather or not i have it, would it be her who wrote the prescription for it or the doc as the chances are it wont even be her delivering my baby. i didnt say anything as i would rather not have it but if it was there when i was in labour i would probably would use it then regret it later so its probably a good thing really.

jackson just saw your avatar and now wants to watch the incredibles!
it would be the GP that write 'script, MWs don't have the authority to write 'scripts ;)
I'm going for a HB too and although I very much doubt I will be using anything more than G&A I'll still be getting my 'script filled just in case :D

Congrats Ender- another December baby- woohoo!

I'm only 25 but am certain I have paid way more in tax and NI than I will get back during this pg/ bubs early years. In fact I'll have paid more this year alone than I'll get back. Those Loose Women are just grumpy old women IMHO.

LL - I'm 22 weeks and still haven't really had any preg related symptoms, only the bump. I felt like a fraud at the beginning too!

And me! 30 weeks and still nothing but a bump! Although I'm not moaning, I'd rather not have the sickness thank you.

    I don't see why not :)
I'm gonna ask if I can have meptid instead as I know it is an option at my hosp and doesn't make bubba as drowsy as peth but its not available in all areas coz it costs 4x as much
