OH doesnt want me to have a section but the closer i get to birth the more i want one
So i'll update you all when i get back as to what has happened, and about the size of my measurement too!
take care, hugs to all those in need and big labour vibes to Scarlborough xxx:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Oh, i should have said, its my wife which is pregnant, i'm going to be a daddy!
Is there a thread or post anywhere which covers the financial aspects of Stat Maternity Pay?
My wife is self-employed as a locum pharmacist, so will she only get SMP (which is a bit rubbish comparatively).
Are there any other benefits available to cover loss of earnings for Self-Employed people?try this site Expecting or bringing up children : Directgov
She'll get MA I think if she's self employed (which is very annoying to apply for!!) and the HiPG (Health in Pregnancy Grant - £190)0 -

Thanks for the labour vibes - have been out for my long walk and will repeat the same tomorrow. Friend from work is going on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow and was hoping I would have had bubs before she left.0 -
Oh No!!!!!!
I'm only about 8 weeks gone & my work's trousers are a size 10 with a highish waist (you know like the fashion) & after a week off work I found them to be almost too small on Tuesday morning. We are now on Thursday & we have just been out & had a big meal for lunch as someone is leaving & know my trousers are very uncomfortably tight!! Sorry if TMI but as they are highwaisted being too tight is pulling them upwards which in turn means they are cutting into my crotch!:o
With my DD I wore my normal size 8/10 clothes until I was 7 months gone as my bump was tiny. My maternity trousers from last time are in size 10 but when I tried them the other week they were enormous - I'm probably more like a size 8 nowadays. I really don't want to buy new normal trousers or size 8 maternity trousers but it looks like I'm going to have to!
Argh!!

Nikabella - I was had to abandon all my normal clothes at about 7 weeks! I started just buying bigger sizes until my bump showed - charity shops are a good place to start.
AnnieM - I'll reply to your PM hon but I'm so sorry to hear your news. Will PM you properly later. xxxxxx
Ref pethidine at a HB - i thought you couldn't have it at a HB? I don;t want it anyway as it makes the baby sleepy and can make it difficult to breastfeed as a resilt, buty I was sure I'd read you can;t have it at a HB? DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
