The website isn't the best but its here http://www.teachingexhibitions.co.uk/Exhibitions/NASEN_&_TES_Special_Needs_Exhibition/North/2009/
My mum is going on the Friday with works money then I'm going with her on the Saturday (with only £60 in cash and leaving cards at home!) I'm not sure if its open to public on the friday but deff is on the sat.
its not all spesh needs stuff plenty educational stuff in general, I'm going to get some left handed stuff for Chris - he had to be awkward and be a lefty
Thanks for that Sami - looks interesting, i'll see if i can get mum to come along with me. Not just for DS (he's autistic), but DD is also a lefty! I got her a special left handed hand writing pen a while back and its really helped her. Being right handed, you don't realise how awkward things are to a lefty.:beer:0 -
Searching_Me I feel your nausea today! I've taken a sick day today as I felt so icky this morning. Am laid on sofa supping ginger tea which is actually helping quite a lot. I guess I should count myself lucky as I am 9+1 and have only had a handful of days this bad. Travelling is definitely a killer though- I am no loving being a car passenger at the moment and I guess the bus would be worse.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Oh, i should have said, its my wife which is pregnant, i'm going to be a daddy!
Is there a thread or post anywhere which covers the financial aspects of Stat Maternity Pay?
My wife is self-employed as a locum pharmacist, so will she only get SMP (which is a bit rubbish comparatively).
Are there any other benefits available to cover loss of earnings for Self-Employed people?0 -

Ah I see, nice to have a daddy on the thread! Im self employed and Ill be getting maternity allowance, Im not much use though cos Im due in 2 weeks and only filled out the forms last week! Dont think there is much else though to be honest. But your best bet is to ask on the benefits board! Congratulations again and the same to your wife!

It's Maternity Allowance she would get for being self-employed, rather than SMP. The page relating to MA on the Direct.gov website has all the info you need on this.0
