Sami, how's the sulky one been today?
not too bad today, not sure if u read back but he rescued me this morning from evil
calf cramp, which I see ur suffering from too - tis no fun at all, I had it so bad last time that I couldn't walk without a limp, had pain for a week and almost permanent lump so had a load of tests for DVT
I had a banana at Mum's for a bit of potassium as lack of potassium and or magnesium causes cramp

OH has also given me a quick cuddle on the sofa too so we getting there!

Hmm, been there myself before too! Must have been about 17.. had to go to hospital for assessment but because it happened on Thursday night and I didn't go to the out of hours GP until the Saturday afternoon, they couldn't scan me until the Monday. Had to have blood thinning injections in my stomach on the Saturday and Sunday nights as a precaution, but the scan found nothing.

Does having had stretchmarks in the past make you more suceptible (that word again - still can't spell it!) to getting them again? I put on a fair bit of weight quickly when I went on the Pill when I was 16 and ended up with them on my hips. Never got them on my boobs even though they ballooned too though!

I have a fair few stretch marks on my boobs from when I was a teenager but only got one when preg with Chris - which I only spotted after I'd had him coz if was out of my line of sight while he was in there :rotfl: also discovered a nice little varicose vein too

Tia - you were probably itchy because your skin was stretching, scratching won't have made you get marks :p

Elle - I called MW about my calf pain last time and she said go to A&E so we (mum n me) had tea and toddled off must have been about 7pm coz eastenders was on in the waiting room, I got home just after midnight and had to go back the next day for the tests, I knew how it would go tho coz I have terrible circulation, the test where they make you have ur leg in the air so blood drains and then test how quick it goes back was boarderline so I had to have the iodine in my foot for the scan _pale_ they had to cover my foot in gloves filled with hot water to get a vein

Potassium is a mineral found in most types of food. Good sources of potassium include fruit (such as bananas), vegetables, pulses, nuts and seeds, milk, fish, shellfish, beef, chicken, turkey and bread.
Magnesium is a mineral found in a wide variety of foods. The richest sources are green leafy vegetables (such as spinach) and nuts. Good sources include bread, fish, meat and dairy foods.

Do you think it was in the garlic kiev, chips and garlic bread I've just had for tea? :D (Oh yes, anyone working near me tomorrow is going to love me! ;))

Oh, iodine in your foot sounds nasty! (just imagining how they got it in there is making me _pale_) :( Mine was just an ultrasound scan type. Much nicer!

Oh, just found this: http://www.weightlossforall.com/potassium-rich-food.htm I think we have apricots - third on the list, that'll do me :)

    And http://www.keepthedoctoraway.co.uk/Articles/MagnificentMagnesium_25.html which says:-
Magnesium rich foods include rye; wild rice; green leafy vegetables (spinach, lettuce, chard, kale and spring greens); nuts and seeds (pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, pistachio, cashew, almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts, pecans, coconut); pulses and beans (lentils, lima beans, kidney beans, soya beans); bananas, avocados, garlic, prunes and dates.

    :T :D;)
