good idea - we showed them the 2nd hand stuff we had bought (they originally said we HAD to but everything new!) and they insisted on giving us half the money for it.
I am glad they take an interest but it can go into overdrive sometimes!!!!
I think my MIL would be horrified if she knew how much we had got from Freecycle and repainted, refurbished. She once asked me if we would consider using second hand toys. I mean for goodness sake, if anyone's that worried wash them in the bath with disinfectant!

We are managing 5 1/2 - 6 hours at night which is fantastic! Learning to breastfeed lying down was the best thing I did (my MW really put the pressure on me to get Benjamin in bed with me a bit and I am so grateful to her for it).
Benjamin loves his cuddles too and would happily feed all evening every evening if I let him! Hubby has been going to work for a few hours a day for the last week so we are getting used to being alone together, I am not fed up with him yet
I can't believe he has only been here for 2 weeks - feels like I have known him forever.

Hi Everyone
Phew just caught up on the last 6 pages,
Hugs AnnieM and try not to worry, I have had loads of spotting in this pregnancy from 6 weeks and now at 24 weeks, gosh I cant believe how the time has flown by.
I love the freecycle we have gotten a travel cot and high chair lately which were practically like brand new :T
DS has busted one of the wooden slots on the underside of his cot, so looks like a trip to mothercare tomorrow
DH has promised to paint the spare room blue and clear out the crap in there on Wednesday so DS can finally have his own room
I refuse to have 2 cots by my bed which is looking more likely each time DH puts this off!!!
Hope things are going better with you Tara, men can be so insensitive sometimes.0 -
haha seths skin isnt too bad now, its mostly flaked off i think! it was mainly his hands and feet but now his fingers and palms and toes are all nice and soft. i must confess i've been "helping" the peeling process a teeny bit if theres a big flake
i'm such a horrible person lol

He will eventually, some babies can take 5/6 weeks to figure it out but they all do in the end... Just keep on as you are, keeping the lights low and making as little fuss as possible and you'll get there in the end...
I think all babies skin peels off in the first couple of weeks... When I had Aimee the midwife told me to use olive oil on her...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Cos it moved a lot further than I expected. Probably didn't help that OH was the one making it move and I'm a bit suceptable (sp?) to seasickness with rocking/moving things anyway. Am sure it's just me being a wimp!0 -
